Sometimes actors don't realise that they are doing something wrong on moral ground. They get so popular, always crowded by fans that they think everything is right. You need a calm , a thoughtful mind and space to think about what actually is wrong with your character/ show.

Look at their lives it's so on surface level, busy in shooting for some 12 hours a day, making reels in the meantime to stay in their fans minds, doing shows, doing interviews, and then whatever left spend with family.

I don't think they even think about their show, the storyline the message it's conveying to the level it's needs to be.

Playing toxic characters is one thing but promoting false information saying that their acting and their show promotes awareness and empowerment is total B*******!

I have lost ALL respect for Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna, after watching this show.

Yes, this is their profession and yes, this is their rozi-roti. But, supporting false claims of the PH is basically misusing their influence. Great actors have refused to be a part of chindi PHs like this one just because of the message that the show sends to the masses.

But, these actors appear to be channeling their characters on the show: hypocrites.

I agree but we have to think logically.

These actors, both of them, have probably earned a lifetime’s fortune from this show. Charging 3 lakhs for an episode is no joke. As long as the show is running, their bank accounts will fill. After that who knows?

So they probably can’t risk saying no to the production house, these things are probably in their contract.

In order to be truthful and moral, the star has to be bigger than the show and the PH, which is not the case here.

Of course there are some exceptional actors who refuse to do silly PR and communicate only through their work, but those are very very few. (I can think of maybe Sakshi Tanwar)

Sorry but toxic characters can absolutely be called out by actors. Barun called out Arnav all the time— he was two flop shows old. Nakuul called out Shivay all the time despite being one show old. Recently, Adnan said that KA was about two people falling in love who should not.

If they are scared of antagonising the PH/Channel's PR line then they can say something very diplomatic that it's the writer's vision or story has its own course or something

The acting in this show— barring the Negative characters— has been wanting.

They revel in the image of being a "guiding light to poor Indian women" and that is that. That's the channel's narrative as well as of everyone else involved in the show.

The most horrible thing I have seen with this show's PR is when they called a disabled woman in the saddest, drabbest clothing to RWSP and got her to sing praises for bedazzled Anupamaa show/cast.

The constrast between the fully made up and dressed up actors to the morose disabled woman was gross, patronising, and dehumanising.

Not to mention the villification of survivor in Dimpy's character to glorify the FL. This show is just disgusting.

I agree. There is a saying: Paani mein rehkar magarmachh se bair theek nahi or You cannot live in Rome and fight with the Pope.

The cast, crew and the team have a product to deliver and the senior actors in the show have been in the industry long enough to know better than the audience ki audience ko kya bolna hai and kitna sach bolna hai. So many actors lie through their teeth in the interviews but it is okay, they want to maintain a certain image.

The audience can call them out but to expect the celebs to behave as per the audience is not happening anyway.

Shah Rukh used to call his breakout bread-and-butter roles in films like Darr and Anjaam as horrible guys who rightly met horrible end despite being an outsider.

Many Hollywood actors call their characters toxic.

Radhika, very recently, called out itv despite being a struggling actor in Bollywood

Not to mention how many times Naseer and Ratna have called their own films mediocre and stupid despite being parallel "senior actors" who get trolled by weirdos on the internet.

But, yeah, Rupali Ganguly, daughter of film director Anil Ganguly, Akshay Kumar's rakhi sister, cannot say some non-committal platitude about her character because what do audience know. Lol

While it's understandable to feel upset if you believe that the show or the actors are promoting false information or sending harmful messages, it's also worth considering that actors often have to balance their professional commitments with their personal beliefs. Sometimes, they may not have full control over the direction of a show or the messaging it conveys.

If you feel strongly about the issue, you could consider expressing your concerns through constructive feedback or engaging in discussions with others who share similar viewpoints. It's also worth acknowledging that the world of entertainment can be complex, and the decisions actors make might be influenced by a variety of factors.

If you could so kindly oblige, please guide us towards a channel/source where constructive feedback can be expressed. Certainly not a production house like Directors Kut where people in charge, arrogantly ask you to stop watching the show, if any concerns are expressed.

Engage in discussions with people having similar viewpoints......what else do you think happens on the forum🤣
