Context my friend, context. Making suggestions about someone’s look or make up is a completely different thing. If Alia had said something like “Ranbir likes my lips without lipstick” it wouldn’t have garnered this kind of reaction. But instead he just orders her. “Take it off. Take it off” is wherein the problem lies. And her tone was very different too when she mimicked him.

Beautiful explanation friend ! She likes it. No one should order her differently. Unless she was his daughter way too young for makeup.

The things Alia shares about Ranbir paint him as a domineering, chauvinist, controlling man. He dictates or commands everything and she is expected to loyally follow the command. He exerts control over her life totally from volume of speech, make up, being moody, criticizing, blaming and more. Alia seems to be smitten, fascinated, enamored by him. Over the years she may realize that this is not a happy life for her. Very sad state for Alia.
