Also, Canada is a mess right now anyways, probably better to be in India.

Yeh,,, its not clear why he did. Only he knows. He once said he wanted to retire and move to canada.

Does that mean that he renounced the Canadian citizenship?

But why after all? If he really would have liked to have the Indian citizenship, he could have done it long, long before Covid.

He can be Indian and live/work in his native country and feel patriotic about India with whatever citizenship, no?

Alia has British citizenship, right? And certainly, there are many other Indian actors/actresses in the Hindi filmindustry who don't have an Indian passport but a foreign one...

Exactly.

I don't know if he renounced the canadian one.

People can live anywhere and hold a citizenship anywhere, its all about how they feel. But all those people who wud give up their own indian nationalisation for a british, or american one or for another western one.. had much to say about his constantly.

Maybe that's the reason, maybe his family didn't want to move, I guess only he will know. But it will shut a lot of trolls up.

At this point , hopefully he is secure enough to know he wont have to move to canada for better life. Crazy that it took him this long to renounce canadian citizenship.

Well, India doesn't allow a double citizenship (if I'm not mistaken)...you have either an Indian one or another one.

I think, many will relate it to opportunism... (not coming from the heart)...

He had applied a long time ago. Before the industry he was going to go and work there. People felt he applied only some time ago. Then when he got the doctorate in martial arts, he was awarded Canadian citizenship too.

He's pretty loaded. Even if he stops working... he can live a very luxurious life in India already.

But his passion for work keeps him going. But he look old now. He doesn't pass off as a young man in love thing no more.

Yup.. thats right. I think with his mom and sister being in India too, he possibly doesn't want to leave them.

Yeh as far as I know, India doesn't allow dual passports. Pity now he wont be able to shoot in Canada no more. He was one of the few actors who could.

India is his home. His comfort zone. It wouldnt be easy to start over somewhere else new at this age etc. Plus his wife has family in India.

I think, he prolly was paying extra tax whilst on a Candadian nationalisation.

If he did it for the trolls. The envious trolls. They will be working hard to try and come back at him with something new about this.

That's hilarious lol.

Guessing man realized he can't retire in Canada as the majority are Punjabis and can't stand him anymore 🤣 Good for him, he should stay in the country he pretends to be so proud of.. good riddance for Canadians.

Wait…why don’t Punjabis don’t like him anymore? What did he do?
