Why RRKPK is not becoming Hit

Just state your reason as to why rrkpk is underperforming in India..what could go wrong ???

Its a mass movie with beautiful music, great clothes, right kind of humour n emotions..what went wrong then ???

One reason could be dharmendra-shabana azmi track.. their liplock scene was complete cringe n I couldn’t tolerate the openly cheating on ur spouse part in the movie

One of the reasons why mass audience couldn’t connect to the movie that much

Because it didn’t star the last true legitimate consistent main event star

I don’t know fam. Maybe it’s gotta do with the fact that Tulsi and Parvati type characters have been preaching on Indian soap operas for so long that people don’t want to watch preachy female leads on the big screen?

The entire forum will crucify me for saying this. But if you are talking about genocide instigator Senior Bachchan then Dharmendra was a bigger star in his heydey. Even till this date Dharmendra has 73 hits. While Bachchan only has 55, despite being put on a pedestal by bollywood. Despite doing a lot more work as a budha. He got a lot more awards then Dharmendra, who was never credited enough for the amount of success he brought into the industry. Senior B genocide instigator also had the Gandhis up his bony ass, hyping him up to be the best thing since sliced bread.

I am not discussing either of them. Infact I won’t name them. A long mystery

But I also feel Dharam was a great actor/star who didn’t get his due. Sunny also feels that way but he’s BJP 😠 lol

Of course Sunny will feel that way. He is Dharmendra's son. But he did try to loot the same people who gave his father so much love of the means of their livlihood. Some real appreciation there. 😆

Lol...when has Kjo ever had a Big blockbuster in the last 20 years other than a YJHD?

People consider Dharma the premiere Production house but it's only because of Kjos non stop PR & self promotions. They don't do blockbusters, they don't have any franchises & Karan Johar as a director is even worse. He is completely ignorant of what the masses want, living in his little bubble. Dharma is barely surviving on money made through Netflix & the likes and whichever big producer will let him invest/co-produce a big film like Sooryavanshi. Brahmastra was his one shot at a true big budget film & they failed miserably. The only reason "Takht" & "The Immortal Ashwatthma" were shelved was for a lack of funds. I'm sure Sajid Nadiadwala & the likes will be bought on board for the Salman film.

In short: Karan Johar is disconnected on the grassroot level, his medium budget films don't have large earning capacity as they're made for a niche audience & they don't have the funds that the true large scale production houses do.
