One's versatility in taste may be lacking ... very clear one doesn't like action-genres đ
Like I said before. Art is subjective. You can believe she's good.
Still, once Alia was out of KJo's sphere of influence, her performance was/is mocked by the majority. The non Indian reviews are not kind. At par with Deepika and Priyanka. Which is where Alia always was. Maybe between PC and DP.
As you can see here, people who've been saying this all along are enjoying watching the rotten tomatoes.
Actual good actors from India got good reviews globally as well.

Could be. But by and large the likes of Irrfan, Tabu, and Amitabh were accepted internationally as good actors while Alia and the other actors of same level, PC and DP, were mocked. PC and DP probably knew their limitations, but this would've been the first time Aloo got mocked for the same acting which got her called Meryl Streep by Bollywood.đ
She'll either return home with tail between her legs. Or if she has an ounce of the Bhatt gumption, she'll actually work on her craft and triumph in her next Hollywood outing.

Verdict of these films is out their for everyone to see. An in that sense I dont think shes doing anything different than anyone else. (less we forget her husband and his ex once had a party for a film being a success and it was a total flop) As for critics. Well I never followed them (because being a Bhai fan I know they can be biased I always watch the film and make up my own mind) . An before you tell me about awards I dont think her awards fall into a more egregious amount than anyone else. An Yes she will I think she will be a success.
I guess that depends on whether one believes these âverdictsâ or not. The verdicts until recently called Brahmstra anything from a hit to a blockbuster. I think we all know now that wasnât the case. Gangubai was sold to distributors for 90cr and made 124. Half of that goes to exhibitors. Distributors made around 60 crores from a 90crores investment. Viacom18 is both the producer and distributor of RRKPK. They invested 160 to 200 on the movie. The movie has made 115? so far. Take exhibitorsâ shares out and Viacom18 isnât making a profit. If news/speculation of Dharma bowing out of Brahmstraâs sequel hadnât been out the âverdictâ for that would still have been a hit. This is what I mean by her success being an illusion. Out of her last five theatrical releases four of them werenât hits. And she was barely in the fifth one.
