i initially wasn't planning on watching it in theaters but i was out with family and decided to give it a shot. i went in with no expectations because i hadn't watched the trailer or read anything about it. it's a typical big bollywood movie so don't expect much in terms of the story. that being said, i had a fun time overall. i don't go to the cinema to watch bollywood movies often now so when i do go with my family, we have a good time because it's an experience 🤷🏽♀️ it's one of those big-screen extravaganzas that you watch just for fun because it won't be the same on the small screen. i really liked alia's look. i'm a sucker for the staple desi girl look - bindi, kajal, desi clothes, etc. i want lots of those sarees 😌 i didn't care much for most of ranveer's look. i'm usually not a fan of the in-your-face branding on clothes and i like him betger with short hair. i did love all the red in the dhindora baje re song though. looked gorggg 🤩
i had seen some questions in other threads about whether ranveer played an alpha male or if he was the opposite or something like that. i was going to make an attempt to answer that here but the whole concept makes me want to puke tbh and it's not something i'd ever take seriously 😆 i tried to look up how people generally describe alpha males because i didn't get that sense from ranveer's character and all the websites that pop up are from men who try to romanticize the concept and present it as a cool thing which it... just isn't... and will never be imo, so i gave up <3 but if anyone has specific kweshuns about it then i can answer them 😌
