Thank you lagjagale for the detail write up. Reading all the discussion posts all I can say so this is the amaze story that we are suppose to be getting?
They flipped Akshara so quickly of course her sorry seems almost fake and insincere. She had been blocking him from Abhir for how many months? And in the past few days has come and yell at him for not taking good care of Abhir? Literally in the same day they go searching for Abhir she continued to fight with him and then when he grants Abhir's wish and puts their son's hand back into her hands she is feeling sorry about his pain?
He doesn't need her pity and that is all he is getting. And what is he suppose to fight for? He has nothing left to fight for. He lost the love of his life (which is Akshara and she knows it). He found his son and now that too he has to let go. Its very rich of Akshara to say "but people do love you, you have your family, and you should not give up and fight" when she just got her wish granted with her family unit back together.
And its like now she is giving him a consolation prize. "You are Abhir's father and no one can that away from you." Because she knows Abhir said he will call him docman and he sees Abhinav as his Papa. Abhir said Abhi is the best but his parents are better than the best. So the threat is gone and she gets to treat Abhi as some visiting relative then the actual father of Abhir. In my opinion the Sharmas won't consult with him on anything due to their usual operating pattern. It will be he who has to come begging.
While Abhi was never going to treat the Sharmas that way. He invited them to the school registration. He made sure to still include them on important matters.
The real issue is if the writers really intended for Akshara to feel some remorse than when Abhi agreed to Abhir's wish Akshara should have had a moments pause of some thought on her face before being happy. But instead she immediately went to happy face zone. This was an opportunity to start that build up of some sympathy/remorse/realization for the situation that she and Abhi are in. Then her seeing Abhi walk away and her going to him would feel a little less superficial.

This is all just going back to Ak's delusions. Sometimes she says things that are true to her soul, but you have to look through all the riff-raff lies to find one true thing.
That is the problem when the writers refuse to give Akshara a proper point of view. She is just being used as a plot device now. It wasn't as bad before but now in this second leap especially what we have had to endure for the last 7 months it is becoming very clear that is what is happening.

Honestly, if the picnic is to cheer up Abhi, this is all just giving me Abhi's birthday wala feels after AK rejected him in the beginning. That was what pulled Abhi back to Ak remember? After rejection, she does this only, chot pe marham, so Abhi gets trapped again.
I was thinking the exact same thing. Is this a parellel they may be setting up of Akshara trying to console and make sure Abhi is at least smiling again because she feels bad she hurt him?
Back then she actually wanted to be with Abhi and she said no to him because of Arohi and the family.
But considering all she has done now by calling him a bad doctor, a bad father, and trying to erase his existence from his son's life this parellel just doesn't work anymore. It makes her character look so bad.
