I wonder, are Anupam Kher's acting classes any good? Worth it? Did Mukesh Khanna's acting institute take off?

I remember Dharmendra's dhaba did not really do well in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh and its preparation is not that good. The interiors always looked like self promotion for Dharam and his films but food was not as great. In Murthal also Dharam's restaurant was not able to beat existing dhabas there in terms of food, taste etc.

Yep, real estate is the way to go. I think even the Kapoors are into real estate, and Deepu too. Isn’t sunny kaushal dating Sharvari Wagh whose family invested 100 crores in real estate? Though granted she comes from an influential political family. The Marwah ( related to anil kapoor) have a studio, I believe. It was speculated that even deepu has property in bangalore…

I personally think, the smart people get into real estate both local and international, because it is very tangible with it has legit valuations. Also, now you can own apartments and buildings via real estate investment trusts which has a slew of professionals managing your money. Another reason why Venture Cap and PE works to make long term, generational wealth.

shaimak davar has a dance academy, which I think regular people go to like they attend summer camps. Even Tara Suataria mom runs some posh manner/ grooming school. because real actors. I just honestly don’t know HOW legit these acting school businesses are…because it’s aimed at regular folks. Legit people go to NSD for acting or that posh finishing school is swiss.

And these clothing/food/ makeup brands they start, they aren’t wearing them/ using them or eating there! With exceptions like Kay beauty, Of course. I personally think it’s a front to make cash and pump into real estate or start ups to make generational money

Not personally used but Katrina's kay beauty is very highly rated in the makeup community.. Dp is slammed for basically selling oil at exorbitant prices.. Pcs stuff is useless... So are most clothing lines

And heard very bad reviews for Anomaly. It totally didnt work for my friend who tried it. PC's crockery got a lotta flak too for being overpriced. Also my friend in NYC visited Sona. She said its hella overpriced and the food is just okay. But I dont really expect Indians to like it. Hum log kitna bhi kama le 1000 Rs ka 3 gol gappa nahi pachega hume😆

I follow beauty blogger Komal Basith, she wasn't too excited about Deepika's brand. It's hella overpriced.

My brother has Being Human t-shirts. They are okay, nothing great.

I see All About You products on Myntra but I dont think the brand is actively launching collections anymore, they used to have Deepika post when they did. I think its been a while she posted? Can anyone confirm?

I have never seen Anushka's Nush anywhere to be honest😆. Maybe coz I never searched for it. But neither did I search for Deepika's.

I was not aware of the schools you mentioned.

I agree on real estate. No wonder most stars are into land grab and support politicians also to get prime land at cheap rates or cover up illegal land deals the way Hema and Amitabh did.

I also think acting schools by likes of Paintal, Pankaj Dheer, Mukesh Khanna and Anupam Kher are more of timepass or way to make money post retirement. I have not really heard of their alumni getting good work on TV oe theatre or movies.

Serious ones indeed still go to SRFTI, FTII, NSD or abroad.

Yeah Marwah owns studio and own media, acting, filmmaking institute named AAFT in Noida.

Subhash Ghai also has his own filmmaking and acting school Whistling Woods. IDK if its alumni have indeed done good work or not.

tried Kay Beauty. The products are okay, but they gave me a free lipstick in a horrible shade, and it's super dry.

lol, I am not sure if that was for real or if I am having a Sheldon Cooper moment, but yes, Sharvaris grandpa was the ex CM of maharashtra. And her father is into real estate. Sunny is smart guy for sure 😂😂😂

Ditto with Bhumi Pednekar, her dad/ grandpa was Home Minister for Maharashtra. Keep that in mind when She, like Pari, talks about how started working with Yash Raj behind the screens and then “got her break” 😂😂

The two faces i’ve seen the most at duty free - Deepika and PC. That aside, i’ve only heard good things about Kay Beauty.
