Nepal has always been a sovereign kingdom.

It was never ever ruled by anyone else and Nepal govt took offense when Adipurush showed Sita as daughter of India.

So do not teach me.

Keep ranting about regional stars who no one knows outside even their states within India or any myths you see on Whatsapp or right wing YouTube and Twitter accounts.

I can see this thread has riled up lot of pseudo nationalists and ethno chauvinists whose own egos are hurt.

Not my problem.

Stay away fron the thread if you find it offensive and do not tag me. No one forced you to respond here or derail it with pseudo nationalist political myths like Akhand Bharat.

Other members have posted good links to bust these myths. Refer to those, rather than repeating that reference here again.

Thanks and Ciao.

@ bold

If you are referring to me in this post :

Then I must say.. Kuch bhi🤷‍♀️.. zeal quoted my comment with some "Akandh bharat" comment. I forgot to reply that comment and All i wanted to reply him was "I heard that word somewhere in social studies in my school, I guess I heard about it in Ramayana related telugu movies/shows as well I guess".

That's the only comment I wanted to make about Akand bharat and you are jumping into conclusion that I going to derail it with pseudonatonalist myth like Akandhbharath blah blah. 😴.

Nepal being never part of India, no need to mock about not knowing that full history when I myself admitted that I was weak at history/social studies in my school😴..

Where did I give any impression that I believe in myth like Akand bharat like kuch bhi🤷‍♀️.. I dont even know what is Akand bharat and you think I believe in that? Wow.

Do whatever sweeping presumptions about me you want 🤷‍♀️

Thanks and Ciao.

You are not wrong in saying Nepal was part of India.

India as it is today is a nation state formed in 1947.

However, it has a been a civilisational state made up of various kingdoms with shifting boundaries for millenia.

Nepal was a part of this civilisational state of Akhand Bharat and at various times under rule of different empires like the Mauryas, Guptas, Licchavis.

There is a reason why present day Nepal and present day India have so much in common regarding religion and culture.

I don’t think she was referring to you. She was referring to Hindu Nationalist talking points. You are far from that. You are a reasonable, open minded human being from whatever I have seen of you. Oh I also just learned about this Akhand Bharat nonsense last night. None of the sources on the internet view this idea favorably. I read quite a few articles on it this afternoon. It’s just a circle jerk for the Modi bhakts, nothing more.

I looked up the names of all nations that were never colonized by anyone. Afghanistan and Bhutan are the two other South Asian nations that fall in that category along with Nepal. Yet, this “Akhand Bharat” rhetoric lumps all three nations under Indian rule. Thankfully, world geography and credible sources disagree. It just seems to be a delusional belief held by fringe elements.

Present day Nepal also shares many cultural similarities with Tibeto-Burman groups. Is it part of China now?

Also your or others' not giving a damn about a phenomenon does not mean it is not there.

The bigger question is - if a phenomenon exists - why should I give a damn about it?

Does it hurt me? No.

Does it affect me? No.

Does it put me down? No.

Do I need to upstage it? No.

Does my culture need to be a phenomenon? No.

K-pop and K-dramas are having a moment. And good for them and good for their fans. I am flabbergasted why you are so bothered by it that you are being so disparaging toward Indians in this thread.

I know that sweetheart.

It came under the tibetan influence somewhere around 600 AD.

Love your laughing emoji reaction to my post btw.
humor always helps when knowledge is lacking.🤗

Patronizing me doesn’t prove your point, dickwad. There is literally no proof to back your theory. So continue jerking off over made up past glories if that helps you sleep at night.

Wonder why so much angst over historical facts.

Many parts of the middle east were part of tha ancient Greek and Roman civilisations does that make them part of modern day Italy or Greece?

Till recently Nepal was the only Hindu country.

Culturally and religiously it is like India.

If accepting facts is difficult for you that is not my problem.

Nice language. Like I said when knowledge is lacking humor and abuse take the upper hand.
Sweetheart go read a little instead of sitting fpr hours on BF. That might help.

How is Nepal being part of the Indian civilisation(not the country India) a made up glory?

Ridiculous to say the least!

There is no angst. Religious similarities do not magically erase hard geographical lines. If that’s the case, why isn’t the Middle East just one big blob of a country? Why do Iranians vehemently oppose to being called Arabs?

I just do not like fringe elements passing off made up theories as facts. There are a lot of impressionable minds on here. It’s important to stand up to nonsense. This is also the only reason why I called out racist comments on this thread. I didn’t see you complaining then?

Bringing up Greeks and Romans is ridiculous. Modern day Italians and Greeks are not going around spouting made up nonsense reliving past glories. They have moved on with the times. Your lot is still stuck in the past trying to rewrite history and erase the existence of modern day sovereign nations. If you still don’t get it, sit and think about why majority of the world sided against Russia in the Russia-Ukraine war.
