I am not creating a pity party here.

Speak for yourself.

There is no need to feel small when South Asian pop culture is indeed small globally.

Facts are not feelings.

I am just discussing what did they do what South Asians did not and can they ever reach same level of global reach and craze as Koreans?

What is self hate or pitiable in that?

No need to be pseudo nationalist and take offense at other side being praised and acknowledged for the level it reached in recent years.

Thanks for informing me.

Good for them.

Their actors look good.

But still it is not same level craze as Koreans who have been topping polls for BBC, TIME, and British and American magazines too almost forcing West to take notice of Korean culture.

Amitabh topped BBC poll in 1999.

I think alot of what we’re seeing w Korean culture some Indians have done that already

Lulz about Jatts having sharp or delicate features.

Mostly bulky. Look at Kirron Kher for eg. Was always a bulky woman with big face, big teeth and bulging butt, belly and oversized breasts. No wonder she got mom roles even at younger age.

Or Taapsee Pannu who had to get surgery done to fix her pakoda nose and chubby cheeks.

Jatt women look most bulky and hardly feminine with that broad shoulders, muscular frame, big noses and tall height and heavy, deep voices.

Feminity or delicate grace is far from Jatt women.

I mean one look at likes of Sonam Bajwa or Neeru Bajwa and one can get the point.

There is not a single Punjabi woman who has grace and delicate, sharp, feminine features like Ash, Waheeda Rehman, Rekha, Sadhana, Deepika etc.

English of newer Punjabi stars is good only if they go abroad. Otherwise one can see English of Akshay Kumar, Dharmendra, Sunny, Bobby, Ayushman, Kapil Sharma, Sonu Sood, Jeetendra and contrast it to Amitabh Bachchan, SRK. No comparison in vocabulary, pronunciation or accent or choice of right words or eloquence.

Only in past we had Punjabi stars like Balraj Sahni, Sunil Dutt, Pran, Kapoor khandaan and to some extent Rajesh Khanna who spoke Hindi, Urdu and English very well.

The hype for Punjabi looks or language skills is laughable.

When you're done trashing Punjabi people, reply to RTH. That's the main event I'm here for.

Well this discussion was NOT about gender at all.

But about people of certain regions which includes people of all ages and genders.

So why drag male vs female here?

Though I agree, we do not need to be politically correct all the time.

There is NOTHING like low self esteem or self hate if one says Koreans have better skin quality compared to Indians. In close ups also their skin looks more supple, even, youthful, clear. Unlike average desis.

Koreans tend to look younger than their actual age as well.

What is self hating or low self esteem in saying that?

No actually TM is right

There’s a park near where I live. An every other night from like 9 pm to 2/3 am some people set up shop there and sell Korean Gucci bags.

Is that the culture takeover we need 😆

People who are fans of [X] forget that majority of the world doesn't even give a fvck about [X]. It's not just k-dramas.

Except for Taylor Swift and Beyonce who are running the global economy right now.

Also, which Indian celeb these days are like that? You seem to be conflating foreign celebs' looks and average desis' looks.

The things that have been brought up such as, skin tone, bad teeth, plastic surgeries etc umm what?Make up, braces and face surgeries & procedures are more prevalent in the West and Korean industry. Let alone being totally out of line but your argument doesn't even make sense 😆

The topic is clear. I am not mad about anything at all.

I was responding to someone else about generally bad looks of lot of desi actors.

Otherwise it was always about how come Korean culture got so popular worldwide and whether South Asian one can have that moment or not.

Make up or surgeries exist everywhere but it cannot male everyone look great or have world go gaga over them.

A lot more is needed to get famous worldwide.

I was wondering which state did I refer to.

Though if I was indeed asked, I would choose people of J&K. That region indeed has the most good looking people be it men, women, seniors, kids.

Kashmiris are as beautiful as their region of birth.

I feel sad they all had to suffer so much. But they easily stand out and thanks to living in mountainous and snowy region they have natural pinkish glow on cheeks which looks both healthy and adorable. Unlike ones who put artificial paints on cheeks to look like a blush or pink/red glow, but end up looking more like they got some allergy or their cheeks are red due to mosquito bites.

A very racist post.

So basically people with fair, pinkish skin are beautiful while brown/dark skin are ugly.

All your posts are absolutely full of bigotry, self hatred and disgusting.
You need to take a break and introspect.
who are you to call Indians ugly, unkempt and hirsuit and what not.
You maybe so speak for yourself.
Do not include other Indians in your disgusting pathetic diatribe.

I am NOT trashing Punjabis nor have interest in it.

I responded to someone else's post.

Mostly Indians think good looks means just fair skin. And fair skin is probably a reason why Punjabis dominate BW.

Though all Punjabis are not fair either. Look at Ajay Devgan and Vicky Kaushal.
