Even Pakistani men have ranked higher in handsome/hot lists compared to Indians.

The rants of some users here remind me of backlash when Rega Jha commented on looks of Indians in comparison to looks of Pakistanis. Whole Twitter went in meltdown mode then.

Your comment is a subjective preference.

Nobody knows these actors outside India. Suriya and V Devekaronda have still a primarily South Indian fanbase.

The only Indian men who have ever made it to global most handsome/hot lists are young Dharmendra, Salman Khan in their prime in People magazine lists. I do not know of any other Indian men making it to global hot lists. SRK has made it to many power and influence lists globally but I do not recall him featuring in handsome or sexiest or hottest lists globally.

In past maybe Kabir Bedi also featured in global media. Rest I have not seen names of desi models or stars in global hot lists or global fans trending their names worldwide and having hots for them beyond nationalities and borders at the scale that Korean celebs have now.

Forget the West, even Bollywood doesn't consider Desi Men good looking other than a particular region in North India. 90% of Bollywood actors have been Punjabi. Not just now but through eternity. Our movie stars were PATHETIC in terms of looks. No standards at all. In some films you can clearly see the sweat and oily skin on hero's face.

They also never danced or did any solid action like Bruce Lee or Sylvestor Stallone.

They had no height or physique at all except for Vinod Khanna, Dharam, Salman, Hrithik, Kabir Bedi and young Sanju baba.

Often one could see their wig and fake moustache was also out of place. They were even bad with make up and costumes.

New generation laughs at old films and calls them all uncles.

Only from 2000s men have begun to focus on looks, dance skills, action skills and maintaining self or looking presentable. Luckily we have fitter actors now on TV and films. And lot of men's skin care, health care and fitness, design, grooming etc.

Earlier one could see pimples, fine lines, dry and chapped lips of hero in close ups. They were that bad.

They had no originality either and shamelessly copied each other or some HW stars.

Koreans, IMO have also partly made it because they are original and not cheap mimics of HW stars or wannabe Americans and British.

Earlier desi heroes did not focus on keeping healthy weight or dental hygiene either. I mean look at Ajay Devgan's tobacco stained teeth throughout his 90s films. Often he looked like he did not brush his teeth.

Telling truth is not self hate at all.

If you see his pre surgery pics he looks no diff than average guy you see on North Indian streets
