I do realize that. But how does the rules or bylaws work for a movie that was presented at Comic-Con? It was actually reported that Deepika didn’t go to Comic-Con specifically because of the strike.

It doesn't affect her. Even shows like House of the Dragon are not affected because they are under a UK union and not SAG. She either didn't want to go to Comic-Con or the movie's team didn't invite her because they wanted to focus on the men - which would not be surprising at all.

The only one being affected from BW is Alia. She can't promote Heart of Stone if the strike continues until then. She is still freely promoting her Indian work though.

What solidarity? Whatever deal the SAG union makes does not affect any Indian movie. No matter what terms they come to, they cannot and will not impose them on anything other than union projects. They have no power whatsoever on Indian projects. Indian movies have their own union.

Maybe it's her attempt to look more Hollywood and special and different from other Indian actors but she is not affected by any of this unless she does another HW project in the future.

And putting that aside, how would a poster that put up even before the strike need to be deleted?? Not even any HW actor is deleting old promo stuff. That's illogical.

I think the consensus or implication rather is that she’s choosing to stand in solidarity with her fellow SAG members. The article above said as much.

How does that make any sense? First, why would they even care what Deepika Padukone is doing regarding a foreign movie that they've never even heard of? Nobody is checking for her like that.

They are also not allowed to shoot any projects. Even ongoing movies have come to a standstill. Is Deepika also going to stop shooting and put her films in disarray to stand in solidarity for something she's not even involved in? None of this is logical.

Either she's not particularly invested in Project K or it's a mild publicity attempt to look like a Hollywood star in India. The solidarity thing is too funny though.

It just doesnt make sense why DP would distance herself from Kalki2898..when the glimpse literally surprised everyone and I see Youtubers making new videos on theories and easter eggs from such a short teaser already..it already has so much hype and even Reddit threads are building theories. Last time I saw this kind of anticipation and excitement, it was for Brahmastra, but that stupid movie turned out to a huge disappointment..Project K on the other hand already looks like a winner!

Unless there is some marketing ploy or DP has been given a raw deal in terms of pay or she simply is skeptical because of Adipurush debacle..or because she wants to distance herself from his project because it is on Hindu texts and puranas..considering how she was bashed for the orange bikini..god knows why..whatever be the reason, this movie gonna be big!
