👏Loving the discussions here more than the show...they have ruined it by bringing this crap of press meet and Seema's dementia issue...again I reiterate how on earth are they justifying an Extra Marital affair...illicit relationship....love and all is one thing but being married to someone and going ahead and having an affair and even having a child is totally wrong...how are they trying to whitewash all this ....Viaan doesn't have a mind of his own....just dancing to the tunes of Maha Kathaa madam....Teji maybe shown stubborn and arrogant but she had every right to stop her son from meeting his philandering Father...what respect is Vaanya asking for...agreed for her her Mom is right but that is not how it is....and now the next story would be Kathaa madam's equally nosy Son who is shown too big for his boots and solves any issues the CEO of the Company has in a jiffy.

Anyways last week skipped watching the show...watching Adnan's previous show Ishq Suban Allah and has my head reeling with the story..LOL but there is so much happening in it and the acting by everyone is so good that i am glued...maybe after watching some more episodes of ISA would make me feel Kathaa Ankahee is actually good LOL...shucks all Indian TV serials are just driving us nuts don't know why they want to torture the viewers and we really want to see something sensible and realistic.

That's true and totally agree and I felt the same like you latha ji (IN BOLD) only point to add is makers are unnecessarily adding katha everywhere even when she's not needed. Love is the feeling to spend life together it doesn't require many reasons it just exists.

I haven’t seen quite a few episodes, so I probably should not be sharing my views either… so will keep it more general.

Relationships are hard, two different personalities coming together to live harmoniously under one roof. But the desires take the mind on different path altogether. While I would love everyone to try and make their marriage work, I draw the line at certain kinds of challenges- abuse, addiction to name a few.
Does abuse have to be physical for one to walk away?
we don’t know the dynamics between Teji and Viraj. The little we get to see, Teji is quite controlling and an extremely extremely insecure person. This insecurity didn’t just pop up after Viraj left. It was always there showing up in different ways- making her needy, clingy, angry, demanding and what not. Who knows, Viraj probably had enough, found a more stable person and decided to leave. Each to his own. Easy for us to condemn, living it is not however. Therapy is not something everyone takes to. It is believed to be shameful. Besides, the fault is always with the other person, never us. So whatever Viraj’s reasons were for leaving, he might be justified simply because he didn’t want to be in a toxic environment day in and day out. Although it was never shown? The little that was shown was crude and badly done.
Yes, there are plenty of people staying in their relationships for the sake of their children. I am not a fan of this. The trauma this causes to the children and the issues they carry forward becomes generational. It is not worth it as it only leads to a society that is more toxic and difficult to live with.
Yes, a divorce didn’t happen. Not because Viraj didn’t want it, but because Teji didn’t give him one. Why? If she loved him so much, she should have let him be. If she didn’t love him, she should be glad to let him go. However, it was spite, hatred, ego that drove her actions. And this is quite common. Hatred is carried over for years holding them a prisoner in their own web of emotions and from this point all their other actions spring. As much maturity is required to live together, the same amount is required to end it too.

What I don’t get is this miraculous over the top Viaan. If he accepted the other family after therapy, over a period of time, it would be believable. What I don’t get is the need to bring a dead uninteresting story back and share “new” details about it. What I don’t get is the glorification of a man and his second love at the cost of a woman who solely brought Viaan up. However her parenting skills were, he did reasonably ok as an individual. How is Viaan talking about her relationship on a public platform good for her? If he wants to be supportive of his mother, both should go to therapy, address their fears and worries, accept some of their actions were wrong and then begin to move forward from there.

Seema with last stage dementia is utter crap. Have the makers even seen someone with dementia? They don’t look, speak, walk, or show emotions like how Seema does. What’s with the the “I am afraid, mom can forget everything any time now” stuff? Like in an hour, in a day? So please make whatever announcements now? 🙄

the issue here also was that teji vilified seema. ruining her name in the city making her leave the city. labelled her home breaker and all. so instead of calling virat-seema saccha pyar n all viaan shud have just corrected that
also i think virat was fed up of teji then met seema then wanted divorce. so legally it was ema. instead of sorting out he decided to fall in love with another

@bold - IMO any marriage ends when both agree to end it, or when one of them wants to end it. Filing a divorce petition is practically end of the marriage relationship.

Any way, we all can agree to disagree.

he filed a divorce after he fell in love with seema here. so wud he have continued with teji tho unhappy for his child if he had not found seema. we dont know

The CVs are trying hard to justify their soft corner for Viraj's EMA and Seema and Vaanya's situation...so now they are hellbent on showing Teji as the real villain...last week and this week's episodes showing insecure, cunning Teji by trying to put Kathaa madam in a difficult situation so that we can hate Teji all the more and sympathise Viaan's press meet action.

A new softer angle towards this whole Fiasco which everyone failed to understand but, writers did try to explain this perspective and also understood this perspective. Its quite ironic, we were unable to understand this perspective and we are in love with a TV show which is all about understanding perspectives; how different perspectives can change the ideology, opinions, behaviour of an individual.

A new Perspective

The new perspective of taking this is that Viaan was very upset with Seema Dutta and, he was still upset when he knew she had dementia. He told Katha that he is upset but, can't say anything considering her condition. All he wanted to do was forgive her in such conditions . Atleast that's the best he can do for a person who will even forget her daughter. All he did was out of emotion and sympathy. (All these things aren't spoken directy but, the meaning or intention was this_

Also, Viaan came to know about the entire story, he realised that Seema was wrong but, her mother lied further to him that Seema was a gold digger mistress and took his father away from him. Now, you guys need to understand that how much impact this lie had on Viaan's life. He began to see every women with suspicion. And, this lie was the entire reason he was sad for entire life, watched everything with suspicion and all the wrong deeds with Katha.

Sumit's Parents and Foreshadowing

Many people have habit of skipping stuff and they probably missed the talk between Sumit(Aarav's friend) and Aarav. Sumit's parents got separated with consent and both were living happily and Sumit visited both mom and dad. Writers actually indirecty foreshadowed the future episodes.

What I am trying to say is that writers are not entirely wrong about forgiving Seema and Vaanya. What they missed was a little bit of development. They did forshadow it with the story of Sumit but, they had to show a bit more about the relation between Teji and Viraaj. I think Viraaj has right to divorce with Teji if he promises that his children will not suffer ,like Sumit is not suffering. We need development regarding when did Viraaj fell in love with Seema? One angle which seems fitting is that Teji was never a good person. She was overly possessive and arrogant about her status like she is right now. I think this is only fitting angle.

Yuvraaj's Angle

Yuvraaj is alive, his family is alive and he has entire future ahead of him. In his case, Katha had a choice to sort out everything but, same is not applicable in case of Viraaj-Seema-Teji Case. Seema is about to forget everything while Viraaj is dead. The entire case was 20 years old. In this case, nothing can be done to save anyone. Its best to settle the grudges of the past as it is harming more that it is doing good (This is another message from this show). Seema is wrong but, wrong happened also with Seema. She was called a mistress that too on a national television. For her wrongdoings, she got her redemption in form of Dementia. So, there is no further point in keeping the grudges and its best to move on as the past was haunting Viaan in a negative way.

So, what can you do to bury the grudges of the past so that you can get the closure and redeem yourself for defaming Seema on national television? Viaan from his point of view, who was affected the most out of this incident, in emotion, thought of clearing her name in front of media which is wrong.

Later, Viaan did admit to her mother that his ways were wrong but, what else can he do? Seema has dementia and her daughter has no fault. Viaan also said "Vaanya mein aapko Seema ki beti dikhai deti hai magar meri behen nahi?". This is indirect acknowledgement from Viaan that Seema is wrong but, her daughter has no fault.

From, this angle, everything which is happening makes sense. It is not entirely wrong but, requires slightly more development. I have faith on writers. Till now, they have masterfully handled the story with many indirect and direct foreshadowing. They will surely provide a proper explanation like they did for everything. It might take another 50 episodes but, I am sure they will explain everything.
