Any list of male Indian superstars that does not include Dev Anand is incomplete and inaccurate.

Bollywood history is divided into three eras

The Dilip Kumar era

The Amitabh Bachchan era

The SRK era

Only for those who are lazy enough to look into facts and rather get taken in by the media propaganda.

Honestly, driven, I'm neither a fan of your 'king' list nor of the 'era' list.

Whatever label media give is of no importance to me...and I wouldn't define a period of an artform by the name of one prominent artist at that time.

Casually ignoring record breaking hits of Salman and Aamir and using blanket terms like SRK era just reek of bias.

Also it is sheer disrespect and ignorance to exclude Dev Anand and Raj Kapoor and pretend it was only DK era before Rajesh Khanna.

Everyone knows how SRK was floundering when Aamir was giving hits like Ghajini, 3I, Dangal, D3, PK and also had acclaimed films and hits like TZP, Lagaan, RDB without any big banners or one fixed jodi. Or when Salman was able to give huge openers like Dabangg, Ready, Bodyguard, and make any film a hit with his mere presence alone.

Salman was at such a peak that whatever he did became a rage and even if he just put hands in pocket or adjusted his belt, it became a dance move copied by masses.

No way can one call last 3 decades as only SRK era. It is Khans era. Not just SRK's alone.

Dharmendra is another legend who cannot be excluded from any list.

Vinod Khanna, Shatrughan Sinha, Rishi Kapoor have all had illustrious careers. It’s because they were there, Amitabh Bachchan had a career himself.

Not to mention the likes of Amol Palekar who successfully carved their own niche’.

And then there is Sunny Deol. How can folks ignore him yaar. He has given such huge openings along with the Khans. He has ATBBs and 2 national awards. It’s only in the later part of 2000 s he started slowing down but his fanfare is till today huge.

Also Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgan, Anil Kapoor and even Sanjay Dutt have all had proven themselves.

It’s simply insulting to all these and many others who have been a part of the industry who helped it thrive to make these useless lists and put people on a pedestal above the others.
