However, his actions have unintentionally hurt Kushi significantly. It makes me extremely sad. Even though Khushi had some insecurity issues but her biggest weakness is her unconditional devotion to Arnav which is not realistic in this world. My heart breaks for her more than for Arnav. She has inherent strength of character and very graceful. I just want her yo be happy at the end of story whichever decision she takes.

I also I am not happy with Arnav’reaction when Aman told truth about Lavanya and fake pregnancy, I feel thatArnav’s action was too benign, considering that pregnancy thing caused so much grief and anguish not only to himself, but has a potential to break khushi completely irrevocably. Heartbreaking thing for Khushi.

Instead of getting angry, he has guts to ask Aman why did you look into medical records. I don’t get it, and I am very disappointed and shocked with that statement. I understand he is righteous person but he finds out all cunningness of those bitches and thats what he says — really, not done😣. I expected to see blazing red hot anger against those two bitches.

I don’t know what happened, but is it possible that Anjali died during childbirth and that could be his biggest issue not to have children?

Like you, I also expected Arnav to go proper ballistic on finding this out. But I think Arpita has clarified that this reaction is just a knee-jerk reaction of Arnav in a sense that he cannot believe Aman would cross such a line because he and Arnav have never crossed such lines before. Another thing is when Arnav comes to know about this, Khushi is already gone. I think at this point, he is having trouble sleeping, his life has fallen apart, and he chose not to go after them because frankly he does not have the energy to. I would point you to Arpita's clarification comment. After she clairfied her stance, I could actually feel better about this reaction too. :)

I actually read her clarification and understand the perspective but I still expected severe angry knee jerk reaction and lot of cursing etc etc. Unfortunately I can not cut a slack to him here as his and Khushi’s whole life was on stake on this false information. This was BIG revelation. No matter how tired etc — if I am Arnav— I would have done virtual murder of La.

I feel ya! :) I think Arnav did not retaliate against La and Ma until it was just him they had wronged. Perhaps there is some subconscious form of "I deserve it" factor here as well.

However, the moment Manali messed with Khushi, Arnav did get real with them. I am still waiting for them to go down. Someone *has* to pay for what Arnav and Khushi went through! Otherwise, my vengeance filled vein is gonna burst!

@Arpita: I feel ashamed of asking for the ETA for the next update when we had a huge ass chapter yesterday, but is the update on schedule for next Saturday?

I don’t find it a big deal why he reacted the way he did. Have people missed the last paragraph altogether?? He is breaking down in front of an old house, thinking that he is vulnerable and unsafe. He is missing Khushi more than his next breath and yet after crying his heart out, he chose to stick to his decision because Khushi was finally going to get a family and a baby. Something he thought was more important than him. He ONLY went there after SMJ and letter. Realising that he had blundered.

I will give props to the writer here. Arnav’s character is extremely complex and yet is maintained throughout every single chapter. From the first one. He is the one who thinks of others even on his own expense. Since forever. He may have hurt Khushi but even then he was thinking about her only. That she deserves a baby and just because he can’t seem to get himself onboard with that, he will live without ‘the only light he has known in the darkness of his life’ legit his words.

If this character doesn’t deserve the benefit of our doubt then I don’t know who does.

Yes and Yes. I will not be in peace till I see the revenge and destruction of la with vengeance. I am not self sacrificing lamb. I know khushi has learnt big lesson herself too. I wish she gives few “thappad” to that B——-h too.

No, I do not think people have missed the last part. Althoughh.....the fact that the last bit was basically in Feb and the March 2016 (where he is in Lucknow) is just before that, messed with the chronology in my head. But I have maintained that I am not good with time-lapse/warp stories, so thats that.

However, I think the reaction stems from our outrage at this blasphemy. And also him asking Aman about violating Lavanya's privacy could be read as him caring about Lavanya's privacy. Even though I do not believe that. It was strictly his surprise at Aman's audacity. However, I do believe, that if were Arnav that would not have been my first reaction either. I would have tried to externalize some blame of my guilt to La-Ma. Having said that, i do realize that I, as the reader, KNOW that Panchgani was a set-up. However Arnav doesn't. And for him even if pregnancy is not a reality, Panchgani is still the albatross across his neck. I can understand him not shifting blame immediately onto La-Ma.

I agree with above lines in bold . As previously mentioned— Anger he showed to manali later on— I expected much worse here. Also in all the chapters so far— we have seen his hot anger towards Manali but not towards La. From my Pov— La is the biggest perpetrator here and Ma is doing her job of protecting La.

Again its just my expectation from Arnav. Somehow so far all his interactions with La are on softer side. You see I am imagining myself in khushi’s shoes possibly and thats why hoping more malignant reaction

He does act evilly with La in the New Year Party!

However I understand what you are feeling. Possibly it could also be that he doesn’t know the extent of Lavanya’s obsession. He has known her as a professional for 6 years and it might take some time for all his cobwebs to get cleared!

I don’t think he even interacted with la after that. In new year party he is very crass with her after she is genuinely confessing her love for him shedding all pretence. And after Manali fiasco, he had shown equal disdain to both of them.

He verbally hurt her with his words there. Purposely. Lavanya still thinks he thinks she is pregnant and after she had a very dramatic confession, Arnav’s responses are dryer than wood and there must be a reason he directed Aman towards Manali not Lavanya. I wish he says more on why he thought to check on Manali personally and not Lavanya. What did he see or thought?

After Manali’s threat, he thinks equally harsh about both of them. Here’s the quote

A sudden jolt from his phone's message alert beckoned his attention. As he glanced at the screen, Lavanya's name flickered before his eyes.

Arnav, this was a mistake. Manali tried her best to stop this from going out. Let's just talk, okay? Just once.

Blinding fury engulfed him, a tempestuous rage he had never before experienced. Arnav was not one to issue hollow threats. If Manali and Lavanya believed they could elude the consequences of this particular action, then he swore to shatter their misguided confidence in the most harrowing manner possible. He would meticulously execute everything he had warned Manali of and more. They would soon rue the day they had ever crossed paths with him.

Yet, for now, all of that had to be set aside. The utmost priority demanded his focus—Khushi.

But at this point, Arnav found himself beyond caring. Payal would inevitably learn the truth anyway when he personally laid Lavanya and Manali's deceitful careers to rest, burying them deep into the earth with his own two hands.
