Actually the scene is funny, there were two places which gave an illusion of water pool so Duryodhan cautiously held his clothes up and tried to cross but it was land then this pool which felt like floor where he fell🤣

I think that was not main palace area of living place but kind of recreation spot outside (just my view because Duryodhan was expecting water pools to be present there)

SPMB made a hell of it with Draupadi confiscating their weapons.

Not just its highly unlikely for a person to do with their guests, why would a guest stay there if the hosts make such a demand, won't they just leave? They were guests not some prisoners

No am serious like Vidur doesn't seem to be a senior resource in their company, he is like Vivek for DB.

He only follows whatever ground level work DB asks him to do both personal and official.

Still he is given some perks

That's why i called DB as Sanjeev nanda and SK cause both of them commited hit and run but only the first guy got his jail sentence...

Maybe Draupadi of SPMB thought " These 2 groups hate each other , what if one of them whips out their bow and arrow/ mace / spear and start wrecking the other group and the palace?" Hence weapons confiscated 🤣 still does not make any sense....

Unlike what they show in TV serials, Bheeshm wasn't under any oath to support one set or other, he had full right to support the group he wanted (though a tough choice since he loved both sets of grand nephews) but his selection of Kauravas was completely his choice, while he decided not to kill Pandavas himself.

I just wish Bhishma had gone power hungry at the later phase of his life and seized the throne for himself making Kauravas and Dhiridhirasta as prisoners and let Pandavas rule Indraprastha

And yet Duryodhan didn't think it's better to leave rather than stay insulted here. What right did he then have to say they insulted us, dude you stayed there to be insulted
