I know, Vibha. Expectations shouldn't be high when it's ITV we are talking about. At least we could escape the Icchadhari Kankhajura and all of those ichhadhari species here. I should be grateful. đ
Jokes apart, it has been honestly hard for me to understand and appreciate Tara lately. I don't enjoy roasting good shows but that is what I have been doing lately while watching DT. Sigh.
Sacrifices don't bother me that much if kept realistic. Like Tara choosing to send Dhruv back to protect his life was realistic in my opinion. It's her helplessness that gets on my nerves.
Tara in the 21st century was fire. Absolutely loved her there. Even in the 17th century... she was fantastic for the initial several episodes. It's just after the whole confession thing, the woman turned absolutely a damsel in distress.

Oh I hear you and agree with you but with me itâs once burned twice shy situation. I came to a realisation that ITV for some reason loves the helpless FL trope, so a strong girl becomes a cry baby. Realistically, with all the past shows I watched, logically no sane todayâs independent girl will want a man like that good looks or no. Thatâs why Dhruv is breath of fresh air as he is shown to have the qualities a woman wants. Loves his family but stands in ground.
Tara I am going to assume was of two minds. I donât in all honesty believe that marriage is ultimate but for the sake of series I buy it. Tara was hung on to that stupid portrait that came out of that digging site and maybe didnât picture falling in love. Doesnât make any sense at all but thatâs all I am able to think.
She was bloody great in 21st century and I am liking her now too but she is inconsistent. I think maybe now she will be shown strong again as she knows the general is not going to be her husband? She even stopped adding ji which was rubbing me off the wrong way. From a historical perspective Dhruv and her marriage will be done differently as Dhruv is not of that era and I think thatâs what this show is about. What are your thoughts and happy to be corrected if I am wrong.
