Aditya is rich and good looking and don't have foot in the mouth syndrome. he might be a little unlucky with his movies but he definitely is a way better actor than her. His overall vibe is not annoying and he speaks well in his IVs. He also don't have a PR that forces him down our throats. So even if is just a decent enough actor we don't feel he is overrated like karthic or varun. Over all he gives a likable vibe.

Ananya on the other hand don't have any hits to her name, can't act and don't seems to have a likeable personality. According to rumours she also bullied aryan's ex gf simply because she was dating Aryan. Then obviously like any other kjo camp nepo kid she has an over enthusiastic PR that exaggerate everything around her. So overall she comes off as very unlikable. So any guy that's generally liked by the public will be judgmental towards this. I am pretty sure even Vijay devarakonda and karthic aaryan will be asked the same question Aditya is being asked. Aise kya majboori thi 😆

all I'll say is desi entertainment fans give guys more leeway than girls.. he looks unkempt he has no screen presence, is like 10 years older and if he was a female some mean girl from his uni/college will be on reddit giving their goss.. because no one literally no one has a clean record and can always drag anyone for messy behaviour...

and none of the desi male celebs are super catch that fans have to act like their precious angels poop gold and drag female celebs they supposedly date..

I don't think this much backlash would have happened if Aditya was dating mrinal thakur or tapsee or shraddha. It's just that ananya is simply not liked by majority. Siddhart Malhotra who is kind of similar to Aditya (more good looks and less acting skills) married Kiara and everyone love them together.

People kind of had a similar reaction when Aaliya and ranbir got married. Everyone were like Aaliya could do better than a Playboy and he is too old for her. Ranbir might be well appreciated for his acting skills but a lot of people don't think he is a catch mostly because of the way he treated Deepika and Katrina.

If someone like Deepika dated Arjun Kapoor who is not very well liked the reaction would have been the same as Aditya and ananya.

So it's not really about male celebs being seen as a catch and is more to do with the likeability fact of both the celebs involved. Aditya is highly liked whereas ananya is highly disliked.
