10 years is a long time bro, I don't know how most people did it straight.

I've been a IF_er since 16 plus years..and spent half of it in IF retirement, for the love of Sanity and the Good Lords Mercy.

IF doesn't have that same humour level it once did, so I value the little Mercies that have been bestowed on the forum who actually manage to make me laugh going thru comments. Ur certainly one of those ppl whose comments make me chuckle.

This is most devastating. I often feel that way about old childhood friends and relatives in India. It feels like somewhere down the alleyways of life, we took a turn and started walking in opposite directions, never to walk down the same path ever again.

The opposite can also happen, though. You could lose touch with someone for years. Their lives can seem like they're different people and have no connection. But someday, you happen to reconnect, and everything clicks in place, and it's like you never stopped being friends. I have been fortunate to have two such friend reunions in my life.
