14th February, 1999. New Delhi. Raj Kaushal. We had two separate wedding ceremonies, Hindu style and Sikh style. For the Hindu one, I was dressed in the sari my mother wore at her wedding and for the Sikh wedding I wore a Ritu Kumar lehenga-choli. Love. Three years. I wanted a ring that I could wear everyday and got the ring of my dreams. It is a 1.1-carat solitaire with a four-prong setting. Patience, consistency and sense of humor. The entire wedding was the biggest expense; we had two weddings and a reception. We had two ceremonies in New Delhi. One was a typical Arya Samaji Hindu ceremony and the other the Anand Karaj, traditional Sikh style wedding. I think Raj was a little nervous about the whole thing and I think his friends gave him some alcohol to calm his nerves because he arrived a little tipped. | |||||
