He is shown alone in his room, being depressed, having lost faith in God, etc. And then they quickly went for him to meet Ak's family, and since then his DDP has been shown even more. If you really want his perspective but were unable to understand it due to the messed up story direction, I can explain more. But if you just want to ignore Abhi's pain and his POV and just stick to one narrative, then it's pointless to discuss anything.

In short, though, from what I understand, Abhi divorced Ak in his grief, pain, and mostly guilt of losing Neil. Manjari and everyone blamed him first for not being about to save his brother and then Ak. If you don't remember that, Manjari hit Abhi and was just as bad with him as she was with Ak. After that, for the next seven months, Abhi was just trying to keep everyone afloat and deal with everything. His pain is shown for that, too quite clearly in his break down with BP and then with his father. Finally, Ak called and said she got married, so that door is closed and Abhi was just a zombie for the past six years. Ak was also a zombie, so she didn't open her heart to Nav for six years. When Abhi met Ak again, his heart opened again and he was able to think again. So he apologized for seerat ma, but I agree it is not nearly enough. His actually realization came from temple confession where Ak showed him mirror. Then he nearly died, and finally decided to be better moving forward. And he has been. He has been calmer and more understanding of Ak and her pain. But then he found out about his son and it's even more trauma. At this point there have been several instances of him accepting his past mistakes and wanting to be better. He said that to Arohi and Manjari right after temple confession, and even to Abhir when he asked why his father wasn't there. He hasn't explicitly said sorry to Ak cause that would end the story, that is the last bit. They aren't going to do official apologies for a while and that is itv format. But in his behaviour, in his actions, even in his reactions, he has shown he has changed and is guilty for the past. Having empathy for someone does automatically erase your own rights though and this cannot be connected to him wanting to be a father to his son.

When Ak was playing happy family happy family, Abhi was still dealing with the reality of losing Neil. He took up Ruhi's and Arohi's responsibility. The same woman who mocked him for being unable to be a father. He is shown to be alone and depressed and still in guilt over Neil.

So there is nothing wrong with feeling sympathy for his character. He has been through a lot, and he has made a lot of mistakes too. Two things can be true at the same time. But he has not made any mistakes as a parent yet, so let's wait and see how he handles this before bashing him on it prematurely.

waise I think she was happy...aisa dikhaya gata tha...off course she must be badly hurt...but with abhir and abhinav she was shoen happy...😂

isse hai na...RWP ne abhir ki mamma ko uss waqt bhenka tha jab abhir apni mamaa ki tummy mein tha...and mamma ke phone per bhi real wale papa ne kaha tha clearly ki uhe na abhir ki mamma se lena hai kuch and na abhir se... to kahan se aa gayee.....
