Episode 32 Update

  • Garv says not every decision made by parents are in the child's best interest. Sometimes they're selfish
  • The whole family comes out hearing the commotion
  • Garv asks his dad why he put the demand to have a big fat wedding as it's akin to asking for a dowry. Maina tells the girls to go inside. Koyal defends Manikant saying it was Kaka who said they would take care of all the arrangements and now they're instigating Garv. Garv defends Titli's family saying it's Manikant who made demands behind Garv's back as he knew Garv wouldn't support anything he said.
  • Manikant justifies his demand for the grand wedding. Garv says he doesn't want any of that or person who will judge his wife's family.
  • Manikant: Tu mera baap nahi, mein tera baap hoon. 🤪
  • Garv chose a girl of his liking so the wedding will happen as Manikant likes. At least through the way the wedding is being conducted, they can maintain a level. Garv says not every marriage is a deal and is absolutely not (he's alluding to Manikant's own marriage).
  • Manikant blames Koyal as she has spoiled him. He tells her to go tell Titli's family that the wedding will happen according to their choice or not at all.
  • Hiral says that had it been her, she would have broken the alliance. (Sure Hiral, of course you would.) She questions Titli why she said yes to the wedding when she knows how much pressure is on Kaka. Kaka shushes her but Baa agrees with Hiral.
  • Titli says that she'll take on some more decor contracts which will cover the wedding costs. She tells Kaka that even after her marriage she'll help the family with the financial costs. She says even after she's gone she'll still be their daughter and all their problems will also be hers.
  • Chintu and Kaki Maa also pitch in on how they will help to save on costs. Hiral says she'll contribute by not eating her dinner as they can serve that food to the guests.
  • Titli tells Kaka to not stress so much and try to enjoy the wedding as much as they can. She gets Kaka to promise her and feeds him. He gives her his blessing.
  • Maina has a chat with Garv. She tells him if Manikant didn't understand love then he wouldn't have ever married her. Their situation is different and he didn't inherit anything, he earned it all. He just wants to preserve and protect it. When Garv says, "It's my life" Maina says it's one that was given to him by his dad. His dad has completed all of his fatherly duties.
  • Koyal comes in agreeing with Maina. She talks about traditions that have been set by elders it was done with a lot of careful thought. She says "kanyadaan is mahadaan" which okay...
  • Garv says he doesn't believe in all this. Koyal says but society does and he lives in the same society so he will have to as well. She reminds him that they have also gone to so many weddings and were properly taken care of so they need to do the same. How was Manikant wrong in this?
  • Garv points out that for Koyal Manikant is never wrong. Because Koyal is saying it, he'll agree to it however he will handle the situation his way.
  • Maina looks tense.
  • Koyal tells him to do everything with a cool mind, not a hot angry one. He needs to keep both families in mind. She takes him away before scolding Divya about bringing cold water for Garv as he only drinks hot when he comes home. It was actually Maina who had brought the water for him, not Divya.
  • Alka taunts Maina again about Garv not listening to his own bio mom, but he listened to BM in a jiffy. She compares how BM knows every little thing about Garv but Maina doesn't.
  • Titli and Garv meet at a terrace. Titli's sad about the financial stress Kaka & Kaki Maa are under for the wedding. She feels like she's a burden on them. He comforts her saying this is their courtship period and he wants it to be filled with happiness, not sadness. He'll take care of everything. When Titli points out how his family isn't wrong with the demands, Garv says it's their wedding. It'll happen according to their wishes.
  • Garv brings another pint of melted vanilla ice cream. Titli finally tells him that she doesn't like vanilla and that she had lied that day because had she said the truth, he wouldn't have liked it. Garv is pissed and throws the ice cream bucket away. He covers it up saying that from now on she'll get whatever she likes. He's only concerned with her happiness.
  • Yooooo, okay this scene is so hawwttttt
  • He leans in as if he's about to kiss her on the lips but he does it on the forehead instead. Arm in arm, they stare at the full moon
  • Maina tells Koyal that she wants to get a really beautiful and modern necklace for Titli. She tells Koyal to choose something. Koyal tells her that Garv had said the same thing in the morning. They see Kaka at the same jewelry shop.
  • Maina compliments the necklace Kaka was holding, asking if it was for Titli.
  • The store's worker greets Manikant and scolds Kaka for not working.
  • Manikant talks shit saying that their reputation is going to go away little by little like this and he should have never listened to Garv. Koyal adds in saying that it's a good thing as now they can get their jewelry polished for free. (These two are seriously made for each other. 🙄) Maina is the only sensible one who looks very embarrassed by them both.
  • Kaka who is hearing all this, feels very insulted. He thinks to himself that it's all on Titli and not to let him be humiliated.
  • Titli video calls Garv wishing him a good morning. When Titli tells him that her morning has become excellent because of a special person, Garv gets pressed. He asks who is that and Titli asks him who could it be other than just one. She turns the door and shows him something that makes Garv smile. He teases her that she has accepted him as her real hero to which Titli agrees because he's awesome and the best.
  • Garv tells her that he likes caring for her and that he liked that he did this for her. Titli says she knew he would like it, that's why she took such a huge risk and has hidden him behind the door. Garv says to let everyone see. They both love each other and are about to get married. Titli says but they haven't yet to which Garv says they can get married right now. Titli laughs it off. When Garv says should he take that as a yes or no, Titli says no and that they'll meet at five in the evening.
  • Garv sees his finger is bleeding.

Precap: same as yesterday

Quote of the Episode: Parents ka har faisla bacho ke bhalaiyi ke liye nahi hota. Kabhi kabhi unka swaart bhi hota hai. - Garv Mehta

It's a bit of a contrast to what Manikant had told Garv a few days ago about parents sharing their life experiences with their children so that they can learn how to do/be better. While Garv was saying this as a jab at Manikant, there is some truth to his words. There can be many factors that prevent parents from seeing their children's POV. Generational, educational, and even societal gaps can all factor into the kinds of intelligence and wisdom the parents have versus their children. When it comes to selfishness, it ultimately comes down to what the family is lacking. Some may get married to accrue more wealth, while others may get married to have better access to greater opportunities like better education, or the chance to live abroad.

In Manikant's marriage, his parents had also displayed selfishness and had treated his marriage like a deal. What the family got in addition to Koyal, I'm not sure but it certainly lacked Manikant's consent. In Garv's situation, the only selfish aspect that is being pushed forward is the scale of the wedding. I agree that the way Manikant is positing the scale is wrong but him wanting to save face in front of important clientele isn't wrong either. Monica's wedding happened just a few weeks ago. Ergo, everything that happened there (the food, the decor etc.) would still be very fresh in their minds. If Garv's wedding happens at a much lower scale, there will obviously be a lot of talk about how they went all out for their daughter's wedding but couldn't afford to do half as much for their only son's.

Rather than bickering like this, and placing the responsibility of the entire cost on just one side, they should have split the costs equally between the two. They can also have discussions on what are non-negotiables and what are some things they can compromise on.

Idk, I feel like no one from the Mehtas and certainly not Garv, is treating this like rational adults.

Thoughts:

Maina is definitely starting to feel the pinch of Garv constantly choosing Koyal over her but then she also keeps pushing Koyal forward as well? If she wants to be closer to Garv, then I feel she should have done that a long time ago. Alka was right in this matter that since childhood she entrusted Garv to BM and now BM knows every little thing about him while Maina knows nothing. It's only natural that Garv will heed BM more than her.

TiRv's terrace meet was bit of a roller coaster. It was nice to see Titli completely open up to Garv about her stress and problems. I was a bit annoyed when in response Garv said this is our courtship period and I just want to see you happy. Like I get it but also his fiancee is crying in front of him and the first thing that comes out of his mouth is that this is our courting period, stop ruining our moment?? I was happy when Titli told the truth about the ice cream but then Garv's reaction was also OTT?? Like, yeahh she lied but she's now in a comfortable enough space to be completely honest with him. The level of trust she has in him has increased. Him throwing the ice cream away was just... ughhh. And then he was so slick because he covered it up by being so hot and romantic with Titli. It was a really hot moment but that's also a tactic he will be using to cover up his shitty behavior and I don't like it at all.

Manikant constantly cribbing about his izzat is getting irritating. I don't get why somebody hasn't filed a case against him knowing that he has two wives.

Koyal made sense in some parts, and in others, she was her usual annoying self. There was a striking difference between the way she tried to knock sense into Garv and the way Maina did. Maina tried to humanize Manikant by saying that had he been ignorant to love he wouldn't have ever married her; he has completed all his fatherly duties for Garv; and that the life that Garv is so arrogant about, it was all given to him by his dad. The money that he wastes like it's nothing, being able to use the power of his name to get anything he wants, the education he received so that he could become a lawyer, the home that he lives in, the people he lives with - it was all made possible because of his dad. Without him, Garv actually will be nothing. So just for that, he needs to learn how to act better and show more respect.

Koyal on the other hand talked about old traditions that have been created by past generations. How there was a reason for them and that the bride's family actually do a good deed by making sure she gets wedded right. "Kanyadaan is mahadaan". Though Garv stated he doesn't believe in all these traditions, he still ended up obeying his BM which I found to be a bit strange. Out of the two women, it was Maina who was making the most sense. By humanizing Manikant, she was trying to lessen the hatred Garv has for his dad and bridge the distance that is between them. But Koyal says some random things about societal traditions and Garv listens to her in a heartbeat?

I'm sorry but Garv is an ass for refusing to listen to both Manikant and Maina. Just one day ago (in the show) Manikant had opened up to Garv and had shared how he only wants the best for him and expressed how much he loves him. But apparently, it all went over Garv's head as the very next day he berated his dad for being selfish.

Ugh, we can only count on Titli knocking some sense into Garv (even though it shouldn't be her). The level of animosity that he has for his dad can be resolved if he gives their relationship a chance to heal. In the same way that his dad opened up to him, Garv needs to do the same. With them both bickering and yelling at each other, they're not going to go anywhere.

Loll, had it been some other guy kya woh badi shaadi ki demand nahi karte? Or worse, agar unho ne dahej maang liya toh? Phir Baa kya karti? Bech do sab kuch?

And let's not forget ki had Baa not reminded Titli about Sanket or forced her to go meet him, Garv bhi itna desperate ho kar Titli ko kabza karne mein nahi lag jaata. So thanks Baa for ruining Titli's life. 👏

As usual awesome update ❤️

Garv behavior

Manikanth and Koyal drama never ending 🤬

Looks like shaadi is also done. Now titli should baby sit her hubby and give timeout to his fights with his dad, then only he will learn how to talk with him. Also Manikanth needs parenting classes 🤬

sane ones in Both families are Titli, chintu, Maina and dadu

All others looks like released from zoo

Beautiful analysis

Garv ka dimaag ka peech dheela hai uska dimaag ka ilaaj zaroori hai let c how Titli handle him. He hurt himself phir bhi usko pata na chala

TiRv moments I am ready for a roller coaster ride. Avinash is doing good job as split personality

Today's episode it was clear that Garv has split personality & he didn't realize that he is hurting himself. Throw me sada hua tomato if you want but I really felt bad for him in last scene when he saw his hand was bleeding

Thank you!

Ugh, on one hand, I'm hoping Titli has no time for any of Garv's nonsense. Whenever he fights with his dad he at times comes off as an entitled spoilt little brat who has zero sense of consequences for his actions.

At least in her own home Titli had the freedom to do what she wanted. Mehta ki ghar mein har cheez isko puch kar karni paregi ya phir taane sune parenge.

Of course not. Woh toh uski Maa hai aur Maa ke saath aise baat thodi na kar sakta hai. But jab uski biwi ne yehi baat chedi thi, tab toh bharas para tha uske upar. 🤔
