One of my uncle who lost his job during COVID had lots of financial crisis.Bht still he was adamant about sending his children to international school even if it meant taking loan...Those kids were just 2nd or 3rd std i think..

I can't believe people are actually spending lakhs together of donation just for kg and primary schools..

It is good that they didn't release any BTS. It would just create unnecessary confusion.

This is the ultimate truth, in my opinion as well. And even if not in the best uni, the folks that have the inner drive and self-made stamina will shine later on. I know so many people that are super successful, AFTER their university careers in regular universities.

In government schools nothing is spoon fed.. There you learn the practical approach to life..Teachers are lovely, kind and considerate too.. I have spent about 10 years of my schooling in govt English medium school (Yes,govt English medium exists).. Students coming out of govt schools are quite intelligent too..

My parents never had to spent much for my or my bro's studies.. Neither for primary education not for our uni.. I think the highest they spent must be for my bro's masters in Germany,which is also way too less compared to what other people are spending..

In my opinion, if an individual is good in studies and stays focused, no matter where you study govt or private school, you will end up in good unis..

Make kids suffer and understand the hard reality otherwise the kids will take your love for something else and abuse that

Many people these days are raising their kids as if they are thoroughbred horses. Their daily bibles are university admissions criteria/checklists. Everything, even their way of speaking is so contrived and engineered. It’s sad to see the loss of organic childhood days. Where I live, even play time is so engineered - it’s all play dates as opposed to organic running outside and playing- as if the parents make a calculation about how this play time will affect their child’s university applications down the road. And the result is often humans that are incapable of just living and dealing with regular issues. I had one student that said she couldn’t turn in her assignment b/c she needed two computer screens to write a paper and she didn’t have that at the time. An ADULT student. 🙄

I have seen students of engineering college, using calculators to calculate 80+20😆

I guess it’s the same issue everywhere in the world…outside of Washington DC where cost of living is high, and the public schools are excellent (due to high property taxes and highly educated and engaged parents), even then parents are constantly throwing 40 K USD per child for private elementary school 😬 All in hopes of getting an edge for a good university.

Exactly my point..

I fail to understand the need to make their life bed of roses..They need to learn harsh reality of the life too..

That's the reason we are seeing so many people committing suicide , going into depression etc..

Say 30-40 years back- you had to work and plan for your food , accommodation everything a year in advance! Nowadays the daily needs r not a important factor anymore.

to survive

You need

1. food

2. Shelter

we have both! So people loosing their mind at what to do. Kids r rude, relationship is like give and take

World has become a waste bin!
