SaiRat was the pull and the only attachment to the story whether some people agree to it or not... and that includes a certain section of audience, channel, PH and anyone...

The story was built on Sai and V and their dynamics. No other character had that much focus that they could run on its own.

Even P and Satya had their relevance till they were attached to Sai and V.

In MiMo track P was pretty much sidelined and it didn't matter.

During the hijack, in spite of it being an end track, Satya didn't even have dialogues for few episodes...

That's their importance in the story. So much for being PLs.

P would have been just another furniture piece in CN if she had really moved on with Sam.

Satya would have got an early exit if SS marriage did not happen.

The raita they have failoed is so much that Saavi doesn't even want to become an IPS... though she is aiming for a higher rank... it doesn't make sense... since it eliminates everything about her fascination for the police drills, the uniform and the legacy she would have carried of V.

Everything little Aria did so beautifully. 😔

Vinu is forgotten... they didn't even resolve Sai Vinu issue till the end and by all accounts he won't be a focus of new gen. That's surprising since the entire story from remarriage till leap was based on Sais decision to have a child and leaving CN because she didn't want P's parvarish.

Now Vinu maybe a troubled child... pampered by BK and spoilt, negating Sais intention. If he also doesn't become a Doctor... then that's cancelling Sais legacy.

The kids were introduced and were supposed to be this way... a part of Sai with V and a part of V with Sai. 💔

Killing SaiRat off might be a decision for practical reasons... but if they had taken inspiration from other shows, Sai and V could have been continued.. show a separation again and Saavi Vinu patching them up.. 🤪

Mansi Salve looks like a fine older Sai and so does Nimay Bali as an older V. 😉

Would have been a good story instead of this nonsense that I am reading.

I think if we look at it from a new show perspective, we can still give it a chance. If we look it at from Gen 1 perspective, this gen will always fall behind. 😆

P.S: I am not watching as of now but the updates seem hilarious

If they wanted to continue and keep Gen 1s legacy then there had to be some continuation...😆

Aur yahi karna tha to they should have introduced a new story and new characters but keep the Ghum theme same... who is in lobbbbeeee with whom? 🤪

True, instead of SS marriage they could have shown him as some childhood friend and just shown engagement and focussed on showing Sai Vinu and the family bond. Instead they focussed on Viju and Amba and their reunion.

Even Vinu s birthday celebration was so thanda...there also Amba came and started fighting.

Instead of showing Sairat reunion for the last few episodes .

If they had shown happy family and then some road accident n the end, it would have been more heartbreaking.

Even if I watch that, I'll remember the older show and it's Bengali version, which I watched religiously 😭😭.

If it’s new show then would I bother with a show by this PH which couldn’t handle their golden goose. No thanks. Might as well try some new show by different PH.

If they hadn’t mess up Sairat last track I would have given them a chance as a fresh show. Not any more.

The Bengali one was really good. The SP one ruined thier beautiful confession in the temple with their own added creativity which resulted in a troll

Despite 9 months of separation with hardly any scenes post leap and some questionable tracks audiences still rooted for Sairat and didn’t accept any other end game . That’s the charm of Sairat which was because of pre leap written by Leena . It’s not just Sairat but Sai and Virat as an individuals had strong characterization and a strong pull .

Post leap none of the tracks got closure and that shows the skill of the writers . Every important things were brushed under the carpet . Initially it worked because people had hopes because of pre leap but the moment they realized the pattern of the PH people gave up until Sairat union was on cards . Not just Sairat Vankar was forced to bring back pre leap Virat and Sai .

Vankar’s version of Ghum is way inferior to Leena and time will tell if Vankar can make it work without Leena’s storyline .

The gen leap might work because of external factors like lack of competition, slot , new actor’s chemistry but I am sure it won’t match ghum 1 in terms of storyline , characterization and pull of Sairat . The gen leap feels like altogether a new show and there is no connection to gen 1 except the 3 old characters. It would have been better if they ended gen 1 and restarted gen 2 as new story with the same show title instead of gen leap . PH and some SM sites can pretend gen 1and Sairat didn’t exist and except people to forget about old characters will the TRP audience forget is the question. If they do then Vankar got lucky second time .
