Oh, how I wish that once, just once the makers could give us a female character who is likeable and won’t take no crap from anyone. One who will call out the wrongdoings of her loved ones instead of brushing them off or go crawling to her boyfriend, spouse etc to appease them. We need headstrong female leads who will call a spade a spade but do it in the nicest way possible. Unfortunately, all we are getting is characters moulded according to tradition, sanskars, who sacrifice their hopes, dreams, character for the sake of family, society because that is what writers are conditioned to write.
