I happened to watch English Vinglish again recently on tv and I swear she seems to have been given a single point brief of considering that as the base character and the end product here is rather poor

Anyway, going is much worse because if she comes back in 2 days to tend to Mawaali Jhuli high BP or dukhmukh having gas problems, it'd be quite embarrassing. Staying means the simp and CA can be easily blamed as the hurdle to set the ground for next aborted udaan
