Kalank actually looked so much better, Varun-Alia and ARK-Sonakshi had amazing chemistry, the song was insanely beautiful. However, here, whatever they tried to do is not working, copying SRK-Kajol cannot help.

This song desperately tries to recreate the charm of the beloved classic romantic love song from the 90s and early oughts. Unfortunately, it fails miserably. We get a mediocre love song with tepid chemistry where the two leads appear awkward and barely tolerate each other.

A big part of the problem is the look of the male lead. I had mentioned how Ranveer is dressed and acts like a fvckboy. It doesn't gel well with the soft boy aura a love song needs. Ranveer has pulled of the soft look and romance in the past, but KJo has styled and directed him all wrong.

But the other part is that this generation also doesn't know how to do romance well. They will be hard pressed and need a miracle to create something like Suraj Hua Maddham.

Ranveer looks like he stepped out of Ram Leela character and clothes and got into modern clothes lol

I don’t feel the chemistry at all. Again feel like it should of been Varun and Alia. Some other couple (know KJo he would have chosen another same ish couple anyhow lol)
