The second story of Lust Stories 2

Loved it!!!!

It was an exploration of class politics and sexual politics wrapped up together. Directed by Konkona Sen Sharma, and acted to perfection by Tilottama and Amrita Subhash (what fantastic actors!).

Made my heart happy.

The last scene was heart-wrenching. The awkwardness and then the surrender. It was so poignant!

Konkona proves her mettle as director once again. She made Death in the Gunj earlier which was a marvelous work of art.

I LOVED IT SO MUCH.

Highly recommended!

Have just watched the first two so far. The first one starring Mrunal was disappointing, even though Neena Gupta was a hoot.

Describe the lust and do it slowly 😆

I loved it too. Both the actresses were fantastic. And yes, the end was.

The lust was the surface. Underneath it, was a keen exploration of issues like loneliness, class divide, voyeurism, and ethics.

Neena Gupta story was not funny honestly..I would be so uncomfortable if my gran did what she did ..I mean it can be done subtly..it was too in your face ..Konkona one was just terrific..again discomforting but hit the nail on the coffin on so many issues. Vijay and Tamanahh’s.. saw the twist coming from a mile..naah..Kajol’s story though was my favourite..she performed beautifully with her eyes too!

Looking at the clips here.. Mrunal expressions looked more like she is suffering from Dysmenorrhea and Tamanna looked agitated, angry and sad.Emraan hashmi songs seems to have more lust than these lust stories.

Sorry but the first story was sooo lame 🥲 Made it seem like everything is just about sex.. wish they did it more subtly like someone said here. It was a bit too much and I slightly disagree so maybe thats just me. Sex is important but not everything, for a successful relationship you need wayyy more than compatibility in bed.

The second one directed by Konkona was the only worthwhile part of the anthology. Depicted female desire and the class undertones of the characters perfectly. How your economic status can have an impact on your sex life. How two women from diverse backgrounds interact in a relationship with a skewed power dynamic.

Agree and it didn't help that apart from Neena ji, everyone performed terribly, esp. Mrunal. She just wasn't convincing as the granddaughter interacting with a progressive grandma.
