If you take things superficially and think about what is possibly going through Meerab’s mind, she didn’t go to her adoptive parents’ place, simply because she didn’t want Murtasim’s to find her. As it was shown, she clearly didn’t want that to happen.
But if dwelled further, Meerab completely became an orphan and a homeless at their doorstep. It was her childhood home and was her haven. That was robbed away when Waqas and Anila closed the door on her. It does not matter to her that why and how they did it, or what they did after that, they were her world, and but they broke her and abandoned her. If you have noticed, Meerab has a trait of holding tightly on to grudges against the ones she love and care the most. She has a very selfless nature, and always concerned about the bad happening to others. But when it comes to the ones she truly cares about, she is self-centered and you could say, selfish too – so for her own, the forgiveness does not come that easily. Hence, she has forgiven neither her husband nor her adoptive parents (and partly, Anwar too is included here). The two times that she went to her Karachchi house (E28 and E43/ 44) she was there as Murtasim’s wife – he took her there. She believes it is not ‘Meerab’s home’ anymore. They have removed the remnants of her life from there, and she has not fully forgiven or forgotten that. Murtasim’s dialogue in Ep.02, is foreshadowing – ‘But now you cannot go in until I want.’ And also, in Ep. 49, Waqas says to Murtasim ‘You always bring her with you, why didn’t you bring her this time?’. She did not reach their doorstep as his wife this time, so she does not want to go in.
Even in Ep. 43, she did not go in – she didn’t knock the door, she stayed at the doorstep and her parents took her in. Agreed, Waqas defended her and told MB that Meerab does not need to leave till she wants. But the bottom line is after their stunt before her marriage, she has neither fully accepted them as before nor she has accepted it as ‘her’ home. Instinctively, when she left Khan Mansion, it is their doorstep she reached, but the painful memories would not let her ring the bell and ask them to take her in! Just my take on it 😊
