How is arnav so sure that La feels suffocated by manali's controlling...she must have told him and why would she tell if they didn't share anything, may be just friendship but whatever it was, she did share her emotional turmoil with him & may be in return he did too which means they were close enough to share their emotional turmoil.

That means he was available at some point and it was not a very short thing between them..again whatever the f*k it may friendship or affair but it ultimately led to sleeping. Also if it was just a little bit of acquaintance which led a to drunk one night stand, do you think she would have said "unavailable"? I think he made himself available enough at one point for manali to say that he is unavailable now. (given that L had affairs previously also even with married men & manali handled all her sins that time also..so if it was just one night i don't think she would say something like this.)

Again, i don't think arnav is someone who will go on to comment in someone's life unless L had herself said all this to him or had share her emotional turmoil with him..(may be to make a soft corner for herself in his hear)..this line seems to me as if he understands L well to say something like this.

So that means the new year part was not the only time L asked for a real relation from arnav..she has done that before too and he refused..which again makes me think that whatever it was, it was definitely not for a short period of time. Doesn't it need time to develop friendship, sleep (basically to develop an affair) and then one can go on ask for relationship right? It all can't be done in a very short time i guess, or may be woman like L can.

Rest about "slept" i thought that too..it's singular, so may be one time also. Arpita will make me mad by the end of the story...Uuughh.

I don't like talking about arnav and L at all, i feel disgusted & my stomach churns everytime i do that.

THanks for clarifying, I was not going read again and get mad again and again... It is not going to be easy at all to read his confession and cruel excuses from Arnav to Khushi!

Whats your take swati? Do you agree with this interpretation on some level? I am asking, as i am kind of always keen on knowing everyone's pov.

It always fascinates me that how different people can have different interpretations of a same situation (be it this ff or real life) I am that kind of a person.

Ps- you are right about the torture, i only read this part day before yesterday to find some answers.

If Lavanya wants a serious relationship, she should first stop having affairs with married men. No serious relationship will come out of it. If she does get married, would she want her husband to cheat on her? How will she feel? She is not the only party in these affairs but she is a party. How can you engage in this behavior and talk about wanting a serious relationship?

I don't think Arnav truly got his emotions involved completely after Anamika. When she left, he was broken. Lavanya, he is not emotionally involved with that much.

Khushi comes the closest after Anamilka, but he has not let her in fully. He did not consider her an equal partner in his life. Did not share his concerns and feelings completely. I don't say there was none of that, there was, but not to the level that was needed and none lately. He shut off and distanced himself. The baby talk might have made things a little too real and he just ran at that point. There is something about babies that scarred him. Does Khushi know his feelings completely on that subject? Its not about responsibility, its way deeper than that. He has not let it out to anyone.

Leher was born March 2015 and then looking at Khushi's happiness holding Leher forced him to try for baby.. So even half heartedly assume they tried for 3-4 months say until July 2015 and the he applied for divorce in Decenber 2015. So either he had around 6 months affair or need basis rendezvous with Lavanya from July+/- till December 2015. Or he was really a two timing bast*** sleeping with Lavanya even before while trying for a baby half heartedly, as a last attempt to save his marriage with his wife! The more I think, the more I get pissed off here... We will see what is the truth and if there was overlapping affair when dear Aripita updates the next part and I really want to understand this ASR's thought process during this time period... It's really critical for me personally.

Coderlady, wow! How you tied Arnav’s feelings for Anamika, Khushi and Lavenya with the title of that chapter adds more fuel to our thoughts and speculations. Amazing.

Swati, I am way too involved with this story. Crazily so. So unlike me as well as others from their remarks.

Even though I think harshly of Arnav, I somehow don’t think he would sleep with Lavenya while sleeping with Khushi. I think after he slept with Lavenya that was the final straw that convinced him if could do that, then he didn’t love Khushi anymore and the marriage had no meaning for him. He then convinced himself that even though she still loved him he was doing her a favor by divorcing her and thus she could move on with her life. He is a hypocrite in my book. He pushes her away and in his egotistical righteousness feels like he is entitled to live life his way even though it hurts her and his family. As you once said, those kind of men are worse for women like Khushi than a creepy Shyam. Shyam made her life miserable but Arnav killed her soul.

Even with Anamika, it was never proper discussions but his decisions dumped on her, be it his money management owing to his family problems or when to meet etc. and it led to their fights.

After Anamika leaves, he thinks "He had once envisioned his whole life with her and her only" and he even dealt with heartbreak after she ghosted him but Anamika not being Khushi, could not come to terms with his way of decision making single handedly without considering her suggestions / wishes. None of his relations are equal to me... Arnav has always been dominating partner wanting to control every situation with his decisions alone.

His marriage with Khushi lasted long because she was a supportive partner, also she being young, learning under his guidance and her subdued nature helped.. If she had been like Anamika or even Payal giving him back every time, it would not have survived either. See first major disagreement and what reckless mess he created!

He is always full of himself, his family, his problems, his friend; in fact with Khushi he was much better because she was considerate towards his past experience and went extra mile to not hurt him! He then slowly trusted her allowing her to hadle home and family matters independently. But he became more cautious and restrained introvert after sharing his inner feelings with Anamika had back fired which doesn't help either...

Lavanya, he has zero respect for and royally applied use & throw rule so I am skipping her here...

Makes sense.

There was a mention in the story that they tried for few months for baby since March,15 so few months should be atleast minimum 3 to 4 months right, which becomes june-july. By 18-Dec,15 he was ready with the divorce, he had his lawyer on board...so (if our assumed time line is true) it took him only 4 months to develop an affair with L, sleep with her, think about getting a divorce and then act on it. So basically 10 years of everything got overshadowed by 4 months.

Yes things were not good before but it was not that bad right..it went down the hill after the ''let's get khushi pregnant mission" so basically 4-5 months.

Something in me says he wouldn't be a two timing bast*rd.
