Unfortunately the Hindi film industry has such bad directors that even an above average or reasonably good one becomes a genius.

He may not be a genius but his movies work and they make a lot of money he is famous and many people go to watch the movies just for him, the same thing happen with Cameron or Spielberg. A good Director is also important to make a movie a hit.

Because both of them are mean spirited. So they bonded well. Kjo adores ranbir as well cause they both love to gossip.

I personally believe in the ideology that bad people are friends with bad people and good people are friends with good people.

It usually happens if u change his release date 5 times and choose a final date with 5 other movies at the same time running out of screens. But this thing never stopped him to give varun jjj and re release jjj twice after kalank debacle. He's is very biased but is ok if u don't want to see it.

I think his family has basically put a muzzle on him when he decided to open his big mouth and insensitively comment on Sushant’s mental health (without having an ounce of qualification to do so) after his death. Alia bore the brunt of that backlash and I really believe her team and probably the rest of the family had a serious talk with him. There might have been threats of lawsuits from Sushant’s family as well. I’m speculating of course but if I were in their place I would have sued him. He’s been very quiet after that.

First debut directors and now all this. 😆 I think in last 11 years all of them had chances. An Alia became the bigger star.

By that logic then shouldn’t he have lost confidence in Alia after Shaandar? Technically speaking Highway, Udta Punjab, and Dear Zindagi were not hits. The last two were averages and I believe Highway was a flop. But KJo didn’t give up on Alia because he had put a lot of effort and marketing and PR resources into her. Like said in the first page, she became his little pet project and you don’t give up your pet project that easily.

I will say in 2023 that he doesnt promote the 3 of them equally. But that is a result of last 11 years Alia becoming more successful.

Alia became more successful because he took her under his wings right after SOTY and carefully curated her career and public status. If a movie was a hit like Humpty or 2States then she was hailed as a box office success. If the movie was a flop like Highway KJo worked even harder and she became India’s Meryl Streep. He never promoted the other two the way he did and continues to do Alia. Varun got more attention because of Humpty and because his own PR labeled a semi hit MTH as a big success, but in reality he never got the Alia treatment either.
