Segment #11

"Trusting you was the worst mistake I ever did, Samarth. You just made a mockery out of my entire existence... and I bet you enjoyed every moment of it, didn't you?"

“How dare you claim to love me and then betray me with the very next ‘truth’. Do you even know what love is? Do you have any idea!”

Samarth had had enough! He was done! He was done of sitting around and weeping. He was done feeling bad about the good for nothing Abhay Mehta cheating on Veronica. He was done enduring Veronica's hatred towards him. He wanted to get his and Nica’s life back on track and he knew exactly how to get it.

Stopping his bike in front of Veronica's house, he climbed the pipe and jumped to her balcony. He already knew her room and was confident of sneaking into the right one.

Veronica was lying on her bed, her head facing left, fast asleep. A slow smile crept on her face when she felt a hand carress her hair and forehead. Soon it felt different like something was crawling on them. A spider? Confusion replaced her smile and she got up with a jerk. She was about to yell when Samarth placed his hand on her mouth.

Her eyes widened in shock as soon as she saw him.

“What the hell, Samarth! What are you doing here?” She yelled, angry.

“I wanted to see you.”

“I told you to stay away from me. Get out of my house,” she pushed him with all her force.

In a swift, Samarth pulled her closer while Veronica tried her best to push him away.

“Stop fighting, Nica. It’s now my turn to fight for you,” Samarth whispered in her ears.

Veronica stopped as she skipped a heartbeat. Even if it was a whisper, it felt husky. She looked into his eyes, she could see… passion.

Pushing away gently, she moved away.

“You already know that I love you. I want to be with you, Nica.”

“Don’t be mad, Sam. You know I was married,” Veronica said avoiding his eyes.

“You were, not anymore. Please be with me.”

“Go away. I don’t want to see your face.” She told him furiously.

“Is that your final decision?” Samarth asked.

“YES!”

“I have no other choice then…”

“Good! Now get out.” Veronica said as she crossed her arms.

“I’ll have to seduce you.” Samarth finished in his husky voice.

“You know we cannot do this, it’ll break our family apart,” Abhay's grandfather Mr. Abhinav looked at his daughter helplessly.

“My family was broken apart when you took a decision years ago for the sake of your friendship,” she said in anger as tears rolled from her eyes.

“I understand,” he said in guilt. “But we can’t reveal this truth to anyone after so many years. Have you thought how would Abhay feel about this?”

“And have you thought, how Samarth would feel when he will know, that the family he is serving as a chauffeur, is his own family? That Abhay and him are twin brothers, separated at birth?”
