Balen Shah has previously raised questions on the depiction of Sita in the Adipurush. Balen Shah objected to the fact that Sita was referred to as the “daughter of India" while in reality, she was the “daughter of Nepal." The makers of Adipurush also reportedly made changes in the film to solve the grievances of Nepal politicians.

They always treat Nepal like part of India but it’s a sovereign nation.

And Sita was born in Janakpur to Raja Janak.. Janakpur is in Nepal. I myself have visited the palace. There is a huge janaki mandir where lord Ram and Sita got married which till date still exists..

It’s factually incorrect to present Sita as the daughter of India when Sita was the daughter of Nepal who went to India after marriage with Lord Ram.

Nepal was never a part of India. It was never a part of British colony. Nepal has always been a sovereign nation by itself

India has a habit of erasing Nepal or treating Nepal as a part of India though Nepal has never been conquered and has always been a sovereign and independent nation.

They have always riled up Nepalese. Earlier Zee's show on Buddha claimed Buddha was born in India though he was born in Nepal.

Now Adipurush claimed Sita is born in India or daughter of India though she was born in Nepal.

In this sense I like Sagars for not trying to add bakwas politics or nationalism in their show and avoiding such controversies altogether.

Also treating it as Ram going to save Bharat ki beti is also an attack and insult to Sri Lanka as a nation which is otherwise not an inimical neighbour to India. Ram went to save his wife and fight adharma. He did not wage a political war against Ravana for sake of daughter of India.
