No matter how much mk loves meerab he always thinks she will leave him. He was not afraid of her not accepting his love but he definitely feared her leaving him.

Meerab always had this conception that she can be brave enough to withstand this marriage problem. And not give herself away. Even at times when she softened towards mk she was able to backtrack.

It goes against her will. Coz if she allows herself to fall for mk and accept him then she has to accept all the wrongs happened as right. She is a girl who is all or nothing. No in between. So if she accepts murtasim then she has to accept Anwar as her father, that her dreams are no more, that waqas and anila are also right and victims in this scenario.

She is unable to do and she won't allow it to happen. But now as consummation happened. She has to accept it. She can't ignore the prblm. Prvsly there were no expectations from her from murtasim and meerab herself. Now the game has changed. There is no way for her to backtrack. If you listen the dialogue she tells farook and aunty that murtasim wants her to marry him forcibly. She is right there too. She still wanted to be in that phase only. Not accept that they have moved on from that.

So these insecurities and inner demons will have to be put rest.

Here I would like to add some thoughts.

After a long time I am here. But yes, twitter, reddit and even the critics are, to some extent, misinterpreting Meerab and Murtasim.

Meerab is a tough girl, she knows her effect on Murtasim and she chooses to play with it. This awareness makes Meerab a powerful character. The powerplay between Meerab and Murtasim is fun to watch.

Here the credit should go to the actors more than anyone. Yumna and Wahaj are too good. It's not just chemistry, individually they are doing a terrific job and they understand each other quite well.

Wahaj is definitely good but as far as Yumna is concerned I loved the scene when Meerab stares at Murtasim in amazement while he was getting ready in front of the mirror. And then he comes close to Meerab and fixes the magazine. It was just too good ❤️

I hate social media as it has divided into two groups Murtasim v/s Meerab or Wahaj v/s Yumna. I don't know why they don't remember that without Meerab, Murtasim will not be as enjoyable as he is now or vice versa.

I believe it is because of Yumna, Wahaj's performance got better and it is because of Wahaj, Yumna's performance got better.

I hope people learn to appreciate both the actors equally and their individual fans too learn to respect other actor.

I have seen quite a few popular love stories, have seen this craze before as well, IPKND, Humsafar, Qubool Hai, YHM but this is the first time I felt both the leads are equally good and they knowingly or unknowingly helped each other to enhance their performances. Looking forward to see these two in some good projects together.
