In E17-E18, MK wouldn't listen to Merub about Naila and panchayat business nor explain to her anything.

But in E21, he listened to Merub's advice in forgiveness and ended his feud with Malik.

And, in E25, he explained to Merub why Naila cannot go back and Merub listened to him.

This E17-E25 arc made it seem that they are getting better at communicating and listening to each other. That if one of them give a rational explanation, the other will get convinced and act accordingly.

This seemed like healthy, positive relationship growth.

I wish they had continued to build on this to show in Mariam's track too, where Merub's sound advice made MK realize that he needs to step up and be supportive of Mariam, and let go of his feudal blinders.

This would have made Merub's character look positive and also MK's, while also giving us healthy relationship progression - where the two of them can talk out things, come together as a team and execute a plan.

What we got was some rank nibba-nibbi BS which made Merub look cunning and a user and MK a doormat. It also went against the kind of relationship progression and improved communications we were being shown a couple of episodes ago.

I honestly felt E31 onwards, scenes were written as if the events of E20-E30 never took place, and the relationship looked as if it had regressed compared to what were being shown a couple of episodes prior.

@bold totally agreed.

Also from the Maryam track it looked like they just wanted to show the sexual tension where one is genuinely attracted and one is using it. Typical teenage harkatein.

Meerub never takes his rejection well, remember their first scene in bedroom she brings tea and to reject marriage proposal. She behaves all high and haughty but the moment he says he doesn’t consider her as his worthy partner and thy are not compatible she is immediately offended and takes car and gets into accident.

Only she has right to hurt him and speak rubbish ( Meerabish) in this marriage! She gets free pass . But if he does something like that she takes it seriously.

However, he was so happy when he thought Haya was Merub. He probably thought Merub missed him and came to the village to be with him. Jitna woh khush tha, it supports earlier analysis that they were sleeping on the same bed in those days.

In the episode it show i think feena said 2 days gone by them meerub realise haya was in the gao with him. Meerub thought haya was not coming out of her room hearing pregnancy news.
