I didn't mean it to be harsh but people in south Asia do look into family background before getting married even in love marriages. A lot of love stories end before marriage after familes get involved and it's mostly due to mismatch in family background. right project , right connections. Mahira had a humongous hit with humsafar that made her famous all over Pakistan. That got her in good with Momina Durauid/Hum tv. Having the support of a major producer/channel helps a lot regardless of your level of talent. Saba has also done great work but I don’t think she has a humsafar that touched so many hearts in the Asian diaspora nor does she have the backing of a successful producer. I think Mahira works hard but is also very lucky

She wasn’t even given front row seats at award shows till she did the Bollywood film mom. Ahad on the other hand always had a front row seat coming from an elite background not just with his family but also being a foreigner who studied abroad . Marrying into such a family does give you a leg up because everyone sees you as now a part of that elite .

Just because she was ignored before, she decided to marry a guy with reputed filmy background sounds very opportunistic which I don't think she is. Again I don't know much about any of them so won't go into any argument.

But I think we should not label every girl with humble background marrying a man of reputed family as something that she had in her mind rather than just love. But I respect your opinion. Just didn't expect it from you.

Your generalization of Yumna getting appreciation only in later episodes is wrong as I mentioned there are many who appreciate her acting in initial episodes as well as later.

And FYI I mentioned people being able to relate to Meerab's character despite it being badly written is due to Yumna and her acting and her ability to convey emotions and as an example I mentioned Meerab and Yumna trending in the countries where previously Pakistani dramas were not watched and that means they were not previously Yumna's fans. It wasn't about popularity. Being able to comprehend and understand what the other person's point is before commenting is an important part of healthy discussion.

FYI reviews are opinion of people only. Pak industry don't have any critics only reviewers that don't know much about the technical aspect of movie making.

You also only have opinion of people to back your claims of yumna being a better actor than Bilal and sajal. 🤣

Did i ever say aamna never criticised sajal? Hassan said sajal wasn't as convincing in the initial episodes of KA as well. The only difference is suprising sajal fans didn't go around bashing them for their views like yumna fans does to every other reviewers who don't worship her.

Also who are the people that relate to meerab according to you? She is one of the most bashed female lead ever in pak drama history and also one of the most badly written one and the worst performance of an actress of yumna's calibre. Except yumna fans hyping her up literally everyone feels she isn't good as meerab. Her character don't have the basic brain cell to function as a human being. She apparently had consensual sex with her legally wedded husband but got traumatized and ran away from home in the middle of the night. Who are the people that relate to this bullshit?
