Having the support of a major producer/channel helps a lot regardless of your level of talent. I guess it has also to do with Mahira coming from a well off family and saba from a middle class family. Saba is more moofat and Mahira is very polished. I have noticed pakistan industry in general have a very elitist mentality. I guess sajal was also made to feel bad about her family background and not completing her education. Might be one of the reasons why she thought of marrying into ahad's family. Being the bahu of a well reputed filmy family surely helps elevate the social status inside the industry.

Also saba don't come under the docile pure meek female that is usually prefered in pak dramas. Mahira looked like that in humsafar. But i guess everyone collectively agrees Mahira is nowhere near saba when it comes to acting.

FYI tonny kakkad and Neha kakkad's songs reaches millions of views and trends all the time. Kim Kardashians have millions of followers on social media. Neha kakkad has more than 2 times the followers than shreya ghoshal. Just because something is trending and it brings numbers doesn't mean it guarantee quality.

All of us? Once again a claim not substantiated well enough. Dawn piece is just an opinion like yours. SH is not worth much in my opinion. Their views on Aswad's character in ham kahan kay sachay thay was quite problematic to be honest. Also, SH themselves changed their opinion once PKS started getting the hype. Their opinions usually change according to the popularity of the actors. Not worth the hype they get that everyone seems to be quoting them. Btw Aamna also used to criticize Sajjal in her initial dramas and according to her Mahira is a good actor. Ahem!

Your generalization of Yumna getting appreciation only in later episodes is wrong as I mentioned there are many who appreciate her acting in initial episodes as well as later.

And FYI I mentioned people being able to relate to Meerab's character despite it being badly written is due to Yumna and her acting and her ability to convey emotions and as an example I mentioned Meerab and Yumna trending in the countries where previously Pakistani dramas were not watched and that means they were not previously Yumna's fans. It wasn't about popularity. Being able to comprehend and understand what the other person's point is before commenting is an important part of healthy discussion.

I have to disagree here that to label "yumna" or anyone else you mentioned to be the best of country, you should have taken vote of the people of country to atleast have a say if you are giving an opinionated answer representing yourself as whole country.

I should have taken vote?? hahaha What would that do? If people vote Haroon as one of the best actors, given that most of the comments on YT think he is amazing, i'm not going to suddenly think he's a great actor. I rely on my own judgement, not what the general public thinks.
