Ditto !! I want to know the same.

I guess, he has stopped getting good offers. I remember how he didn't want to do a drama based on two heroines fighting for a man but he ended up doing Mohabbat Tujhe Alvida.

I am still surprised why big directors aren't casting him. In initial stage of his career, he worked with mostly all big names -Kashif Nisar ( Sangat), Siraj Ul Haque ( Dalal) , Shahzad Kashmiri ( Alvida), Farooq Rind ( Jugnoo, Pukar, Ishq Zahe Naseeb, Besharam). Has done two plays of Hashim Nadeem ( Visaal and Ishq Zahe naseeb). Sanam Jung toh even said in her morning show how Shahzad Kashmiri was so impressed by Zahid when he was directing Alvida. I wonder, he never casted Zahid again. Zahid mentioned in his interview that Hashim Nadeem initially gave him parizaad script to read during Ishq Zahe naseeb ( probably Hashim Nadeem again wanted to work with Zahid d in Parizaad) but later on that role went to Ahmed Ali Akbar.

I went through old threads of Zahid's shows, people even compared him with Fawad Khan and called him next superstar. I do feel , fans who went gaga over his voice and looks are no more rooting for him, some reason is his surgery, also he stopped doing those typical hero type roles, that can be the reason. Can't believe he even agreed to do a supporting character in Teri meri Kahaaniyan after Ghabrana Nahin hai's success 😆

Only Farooq Rind is signing him in big names considering Zahid is his favourite actor to work with. Next project is Mohabbat ek saza with Sana Javed, let's see.

Don't know about this one but in comparison to ITV, PTV me actors don't have that intimate scenes and skin exposure is also not there, so parents allowing them here have more reasons. 😆

It's not intimate scenes or skin exposure but entertainment industry itself if looked down on in conservative society. People generally look down on actresses even today. Even now actresses as big as Deepika Padukone or Anushka Sharma gets sexist questions asked at them by journalist without any hesitation or thinking twice. Sometimes even female journalists ask these kind of questions.

I agree!! That's a whole big thing about them being looked down upon . But I know many parents even if they allow their daughters to become actress ( talking about modern contemporary society with 'open minded' people) , the first thing they would ask them to not do intimate scenes and skin exposure ( which is not possible in ITV and Bollywood- there are many who could not make it big in BW solely because they said no to glamorous roles) That's their reservations and even many girls and aspiring actresses have the same reservations because of which they don't take this profession as they feel uncomfortable doing them. Also, things like casting couch is another big reason for them to take up this profession.

I guess, PTV somehow, is easier for actresses in this department. I remember Sarah Khan in one of her interviews told how she asked her directors and producers to let her wear full sleeves clothes as she was uncomfortable wearing sleeveless and they agreed to her. Same goes for Ayeza, she mentioned she didn't want to expose, that's why she wasn't keen to do BW despite getting offers from there.

Casting couch is there even in pak industry and even male actors go through it. In bilal's iv with momin at the start of his career, momin asked Bilal if there is casting couch and he said there is and those people walk the other way if they see him now. Anmol also said when she got her first offer and the director asked her to come and meet him in his home she said she won't and she went only after the director assured her his family is there and she can bring her mother with her.

If i remember correctly saba qamar didn't had to wear any revealing clothes in Hindi medium and neither did mahira or sajal. The exposure part comes only if the role requires glamour and what kind of movies one want to be part of. Not every movie requires actresses to expose. Like Deepika didn't have to wear any revealing clothes in piku or Aaliya had to wear any glamorous clothes in raazi or darlings.

Not saying, that exposure is there in every movie but that's for few movies in their careers. If you see in a longer run, almost all A Lister BW heroines have done intimate scenes with skin exposure. While it isn't the same in PTV. Even in ITV, almost all top actresses have done intimate scenes in some part of their careers. Also, many of them have even said in interviews how even if they were uncomfortable filming them, they had to do it as a part of script. Same in Hollywood. I do feel, this whole skin exposure and intimate scenes aren't necessary if the actors aren't comfortable doing them. I have read so many IVs where these actors mentioned how they have been sexually exploited in the names of these scenes as a part of the script.

Casting couch exists every where, that's true. Not saying it doesn't exist in PTV, I was just giving general example of that is one of the reasons why parents and girls are scared to take up this profession, it wasn't limited to BW and ITV.
