Trust when broken and especially the kind of blind trust that akshara had on abhimanyu makes you a totally different person. Sometimes one incident in your life impacts you so much that you change forever. Abhimanyu was the only person in Akshara's life who promised to put her first, who showed her how it feels to be caught when you are falling, who promised her repeatedly that he will always protect her and be in her corner. He was her world, she sacrificed her identity (her voice) for him because she saw herself as a part of him. He made her believe that she did not deserve love or protection. The only person she opened up to was Abhimanyu and she has locked herself in again. She is not herself with anyone anymore. Which is why after Abhir's surgery she ran to be by herself so she could let out her emotions without anyone around. Abhimanyu did not change as much because before Akshara and even after he threw her out he always had his mother who put him and his needs first. Also, until the first UD visit they showed that although Akshara had buried it, she still loved Abhimanyu. After that the intensity of her own reaction to Abhimanyu scared her and she did not want to lose that one thing that she saw as security - Abhinav which is why she put on blinders after that. She will not trust anything Abhimanyu says because he showed her dreams and a world of love that he cruelly snatched away from her forever and she will never believe in it and him again. Not until he takes the initiative to gain her trust. The change from her end will only come once she can let her guard down and with abhinav in the picture it’s very difficult for that to happen

And that has been a constant with her character…earlier it used to be for a good cause now it just seems like she is irresponsible …first interview with mahima she left but for a good cause…saving a child …so our vote as audience was with her…then so many instances where she kept aarohi abhi n other characters in show above her professional interest …all in a way looked good coz the writing was fab …of late it looks off coz she leaves her work at the drop of a hat …it is always secondary for her and the writing is not good to justify it

The examples you are giving are about her selflessness....trying to save a child rather than going to her job IV is not the same as refusing to accept a ride or any help from someone to go for your exam in an emergency....in fact treating the person trying to help you like shit. "Selfless" Akshu ji never did this in her previous examples of throwing her career away to help others.

The job IV was not something she was as obsessed with anyways and she always seemed casual about her career in the beginning so her chucking that to help a kid didn't seem strange. But now, she is just shown as an utterly brainless soul who goes around boasting about her law studies when convenient but will never actually show the ability to see her big dreams through. She never used to have big dreams before....now she does...and STILL her EGO is bigger than those dreams😆

I really had to laugh at the irony today that the Akshara who has lectured Abhi about his ego for so long today was biggest example of ego herself for needing SO much convincing for something that was all for her benefit to defeat her "big dushman" Abhi😆.....aisi harkaton ke liye laddoo pede baantne chahiye kya?😆

Exactly.....even if makers show akshu and abhi together....abhi will have to see abhinav ki presence always in her and abhir's life.....

Here I’m not talking abt the white day, we all very well know what happened that day and if todays scene with abhir is any indication, AB apologizing to AK is where this is moving.
All I’m talking abt is today - how she went on again abt you came me to ruin our happiness etc…and every day something u came to tell the truth, why have u come? When will go?? !! She kept her son from his dad for 6yrs - why is hard for her to see if he wants to spend time with his son, y is she always judging - when they are one blurting the truth everywhere….this is just my POV. But she does not know that he regrets his actions. Also abhimanyu has said all his regrets in front of shefali and now abhir, never akshara. All he has said to akshara is that he loves her and that to her is more scary than anything else. Every time she has allowed herself to be wrapped up in his love her he has broken her trust and taken that love away from her. To someone like akshara whose first brush with complete, utter and unselfish love was abhimanyu it is devastating to have that snatched away.
