Adopt your own child?

I’m very confused here. Can anyone who is still watching this mess(like me)tell me why you have to adopt your own child? I just don’t get it. They have the DNA evidence, why do they have to go through the process of adoption and be married at that?

wonder how they could get married, remarried etc.. without a divorce to the previous marriages? Rhea was never shown to have had a divorce, nor Prachi!
