He said this in YRF interview series on Netflix, He worked hard to perfect it and it shows. The movie gave him that initial recognition as a Hindi film face. I agree, it shows the calibre of SRK as an actor, people think his stammer is a real life problem and many people who played villains were typecast to play similar roles but SRK went from a psychotic Rahul Mehra to heartthrob Raj Malhotra with ease
