Why are people underestimating Gadar 2..it is sequel of one of the biggest blockbusters ever from BW..this movie made 80cr net in India in 2001..that says it all..

There will be lots of excitement to see this for sure

Animal is a Ranbir movie..it can either go Sanju way or Bombay Velvet way..you cannot predict anything when it comes to Ranbir..everything is dicey..it can turn either way..

Gadar 2 can surprise. But Sunny Deol made Ghayal 2 before this and it was a Flop. And Ghayal as a movie has aged better than Gadar despite the latter being a bigger Hit. Sunny Deol not being a Superstar anymore is also the reason people don't have high hopes.

Both look like potential flops to me.

Especially Gadar 2 looks outdated AF.

Gadar 2 might have been risky pre pandemic..but seeing the success of TKF, TKS..movies related to religion/countries are the flavour of the season..it will do record business provided they haven't messed it up

Sunny was never an SRK even when Gadar released, it shocked everyone..no one expected it to do what it did..i don't remember sunny giving hits consistently when Gadar released..he was giving flops with one hit here and there pre Gadar and it continued post Gadar as well..dum hamesha se movie aur content ka raha hai aur rahay ga..superstardom doesn't guarantee anything..more so now than ever..

TKF and TKS are very different movies than Gadar. If you're expecting Gadar 2 to be anti-Muslim or anti-Pakistan, we can't tell that without watching the movie or at least the trailer.

Gadar wasn't anti-Muslim or anti-Pakistan, despite showing Pakistani villains. It was an Indo-Pak love story, and promoted harmony between the two nations in the end. Audience is not in that mood right now with the current political climate.

Yes Sunny was pretty much at the end of his stardom phase when Gadar came out, and it was his last hurrah moment. But he was still a Superstar which he's not now. Even SRK wasn't giving back to back Hits then. It was a different era.

Talking about content, Gadar is no classic and without Sunny, the movie would never have made so much money. It was also a hero-worshipping movie.
