Murtasim is loading Jump 2.0. His objectives are teach Meerab a lesson, keep mother satisfied for now, and get sister married ASAP. He has probably figured out from Maryam what happened and he knows Meerab is not at fault. Does he not know what BeHaya did, he doesn't see the full picture yet but he suspects. Her comeuppance is coming. Murtasim fighting one battle at a time. First priority ensure wife safety.

Murtasim's second priority is getting Maryam married safely with no more additional dramas, and once that task is accomplished MB will calm down and he will bring Meerab home. He is such a drama queen it will only be a couple of days separation from his wife and he acts like he is dying. Look on the bright side Murtu YOU GET THE BED DUFFOD.

Murtasim is not abandoning Meerab, but protecting her from the onslaught of verbal abuse his mother will dish out if she stuck around. He is the ideal son and the ideal husband, he knows how to balance his relationships. Things are too tense right now If he tries to take a stand for Meerab MB won't stop her Meerab bashing backwaas. He not only physically protects her but also shields her honour, she is not a nobody she is Khan Murtasim Khan's begum and she deserves respect.

Maryam is being led by that snake like she is protecting Maryam from Meerab, Murtasim stands there heart broken he knows Meerab is next to fall and her cries for Maryam breaks his heart and all our hearts. MB unloads her rubbish on Murtasim that he should have killed MZ, he doesn't act like KMK he responds like Meerab's Murtasim, this is his wife's influence on him that no matter what violence isn't the answer.

Murtasim says 'haar to meri apni ghar mein hui', he is referring to the sister not the wife, but Meerab thinks he means her. He led his sister out from captivity in rage he blames her for this betrayal. When MB says get rid of Meerab we conveniently don't see Murtasim's reaction, camera focuses on everyone else Anwar, MB, Meerab but not him. Meerab looks hopefully at her father and her father's reaction is 'sorry this is not my problem'. We don't see Murtasim's reaction till a tear drops from his face, he has decided what must be done. He is only bound to the promises he made his wife. He is not angry just defiant.

Murtasim's act post Rohail incident was real fury but his reaction here is not like before. His first 'Chalo Meerab' was soft and gentle, it had a tone of let me take you away, not get out of our house. He couldn't meet her eyes when he says his second 'chalo Meerab' even more tenderly, but when she imploring calls out Murtasim his barely held together stoic facade crumbles. He looks at her pleading crying eyes, he can't bear to see her like this and says 'kuch mat kehna' what he meant was don't beg my love.

Murtasim grabs Meerab's wrists gently and leads her away, when he is truly angry he pulls her away like she is a rag doll, like he just did Maryam earlier. When he has led her by the wrist or hand it was to take her with him, it is never to lead her away from him. It is also Khan Murtasim Khan signature style, he dragged his sister home by holding her wrist, but Meerab is the prime beneficiary of his protective instincts.

They get to Karachi as fast as possible, Meerab almost hits her head on the dashboard from the sudden stop. With every second ticking by he probably wanted to change his mind and take her back home. He leads her out of the car says you are free now congratulations. That is an odd thing to say can he really believe that Meerab conspired to get Maryam eloped, anus or no anus to escape him. Murtasim knows she is cause oriented but to knowingly jeopardize an innocent girl's life that is not his Meerab, he would never think that low of her. She is his pride and joy, she is badtameez and many other things but a pure soul. The real reason why he won't believe such a farce is because he knows Meerab loves him, she just won't say it out loud and that is a different problem. Thus, such a thought wouldn't cross his mind that she is trying to end their marriage by doing such despicable things.

However when he says that line 'you are free now' it is to make her believe that he has lost faith in her. After the slap this is cruelest thing he has done. He is trying to frighten her with such thoughts because she did screw up big this time, hence his punishment is more severe. We know from Meerab's prayer letting him down trembles her soul so he finally hit bullseye with his punishment. But this is not just her punishment they will suffer together. He can't see her tears and runs out of there like his pants are on fire. He leaves her stranded on the road traumatized, in tearful agony, she has lost his trust, her love and she is homeless again.

You can ask why didn't he knock on the door and make sure she got safely inside, because he is torn between being placid and taking her back home. To watch her knock on the door, wait for the door to open, see her go inside and the door to shut on his face would have been too much for him to bear. It is final confirmation that she won't be there when he wakes up tomorrow morning and many more mornings, till he gets her back. He has a solution to his pain he will just smoke cigarettes in the garden and won't sleep till she comes back to him.

Gunn, I loved reading this.. Its painfully beautiful!!

Bold - the way you have explained why he didnt wait for the knock, I'm out of words.. This some great character analysis.

this is so beautifully written. I always enjoy reading your reviews as they give a new insight. My perspective of this scenario was different but now after reading this, I feel at peace. I hope this is how it plays out, and they are reunited soon. KMK can never stop loving Meerab.

Like always just loved your analysis ❤❤

Bold - 👏👏 i so want it that way......i know Murtasim is not God but his love for meerab is not that shallow that he will abandon her for any reason.

Underlined- yes 100 percent agree👍.thank you for saying that🤗. He was not referring to meerab by saying haar to meri apne ghar mein huyi hai.the whole scenario and situation his relationships all arw are responsible for his defeat.

REALIZATION OF LOVE????

I doubt her confession will be unique. It will be something we have seen before, besides since the beginning of time how many different ways are there to say I love you to a man. But it definitely won't be confessing over a cup of coffee. Meerab is dheet and Murtasim is so desperate to hear her say the words that she doesn't need to put in much effort.

Murtasim casually said 'I love her' to Anwar, there was no real reaction from Anwar either, it was just a matter of fact. It was no secret everyone knew he loved her for a long time. Murtasim didn't have some grand realizations of love either like OMG I LOVE HER HOW DID THAT HAPPEN. He just had a spiritual moment at the dargah that was all. When you have loved someone all your life what is there to be shocked about. It is just a matter of acceptance and he accepted it easily because he had no obstacles to overcome. But Meerab has obstacles to overcome that is why this is harder for her.

Meerab realization of love is and will be more dramatic than Murtasim because her love is buried deep under her inability to forgive him. Her realization will be more painful than his because it comes under the dark shadow of her failures, but whereas he had the comfort of a prayer. Where he found peace she only has pain. So where his first realization and first confession of love was harmonious as he had nothing to lose only to gain, hers will be more pronounced and combative as she feels she has everything to lose.

He committed a sin she punished him, and now she committed a sin and he punished her. The playing field is levelled she can let go of her grudge and try to move forward. The tragedy will be that even after confessing she can't truly forgive him, but she puts it aside as something she has to learnt to live with. For an unforgiving personality that shows maturity, wisdom and character growth. In some weird twisted cosmic fate her mistake with anus has set her free from the prison of her own self righteousness. It is a blessing in disguise for their marriage to finally get on the right path, Murtasim doesn't realize it just yet he should be thanking Maryam's foolishness and Malik Zubair's wickedness.

I said before she had to sacrifice it all to become his wife, and he will have to sacrifice it all to stay as her husband. If they are truly destiny's couple then both have to pay a price. He had a role to play in what happened to her in losing it all, and she now had a role to play in what happened to him. They both had a hand in each other's tragedy, but they are also each other's medicine and cure.

Loved your post, as always it’s just so brilliantly put together, but this part @bold above is the best!
They needed to go through this difficulty to fully complete each other. Didn’t she once say it’s not true love if you’re not going through obstacles or hardship to attain that love.
So whether they asked for it or not, destiny is helping them work towards that special ISHQ.

"People think a soul mate is your perfect fit,

and that's what everyone wants.

But a true soul mate is a mirror.

the person who shows you everything

that is holding you back, the person

who brings you to your own attention

so you can change your life.”

EAT, PRAY, LOVE

My preliminary thoughts on Episode 46

When two very volatile people fall in love it is very important they are on the same page emotionally or the other person has to be wise enough to back off, but if they don't and become unstable during an argument they will be self destructive.

Meerab and Murtasim never had an actual blow out fight, they have never properly resolved any previous conflicts, either Murtasim walks off or Meerab walks off or there is a car accident or they are interrupted. What happened in this episode was months of pent up frustrations, unresolved fights, things left unsaid between them, BeHaya was the match that lit the fuse.

Murtasim love for her is patient, any obstacles that came his way his reaction is dejection, sulk, ignore and wait. Meerab love for him is demanding and aggressive, she will have him when she wants him and if any obstacle gets in her way she will not only destroy it she will ravage him as well. We only have seen Murtasim's love for Meerab, not what Meerab's love for Murtasim is capable of, she is dangerous when in love.

They don't doubt each other, they are using third parties as leverage to provoke one another to get a reaction because they are fearful and they don't know how to deal with that in a healthy way. While they bring out the best in each other, we see now what monsters they can become because of each other.

Does Meeru really think Murtu has a thing for BeHaya NOPE

Does Murtu really think Meeru has a thing for SN NOPE

So why are they doing this to each other. Because discussing real problems are frightening it is easier to blame a soft target an outsider. They don't dare speak the truth because they are afraid to face it.

Meeru is upset Murtu told her to go home, she knows she is wrong but she expects him to forgive her easily like he always does. She doesn't want to face the fact that her betrayal was so huge that he will never exonerate her fully or love her like he used to. She is an ego centric character and she feels diminished in his eyes so she rather blame him and behaya than examine her own behaviour.

Murtu is upset Meeru never prioritizes their marriage, so it is easier to blame her friends and pretend like she purposefully does mistake after mistake to escape him. He deep down knows that is not true, but he is afraid to face the fact that she doesn't love him as much as he loves her and her causes are more important to her than his happiness.

They are both wrong, she loves him more and he will forgive her anything, but they don't want to talk about that, they would rather character assassinate each other over something they don't even believe in because that is easy to do.

They both are active volcanoes eruptions are expected. But if they don't deal with the actual problem these eruptions will continue to happen.

While they bring out the best in each other, we see what monsters they become because of each other.

They both are an active volcanoes eruptions are expected. But if they don't deal with the actual problem these eruptions will continue to happen.

sad but true 🥲

As always I love reading your take on them ❤❤

This is the truth.. they will not talk about what they feel for each other instead start taunting each other with their insecurities. But the volcanoes seem to have erupted, I hope to see some outburst of their feelings in the upcoming episode.
