Even akshu's case there are lots of women who are uneducated who will get into situation where they don't even get family support to raise their kid. Because even now families think it's always girls fault if divorce happens. They don't support her at such times. But those womens brace themselves to fight for their kid.
If they really wanted to show progressive story they could have shown goenkas blaming akshu for divorce and throwing her out and she bracing herself up to live for her child and fight with the world all alone. But here they just made mockery of her character. She neither had problem with goenkas nor she is uneducated. She had potential to build her career and become famous singer. And show birla's i don't need you guys anymore as i am rich than you guys.
But kya kiya inhone they made her abla naari now if tomorrow abhinav dies they might even show akshu going back to abhi for abhir.
Was it really necessary to show akshu useless. Who needed a man in life to raise her own child. It would have been lesson to many younger generations women that you should build your career just don't be dependent on your marriage as now a days divorce is so common.
