That's like 80% of the leading ladies 😆. Aik sitam aur mein ushna ne toh Jaan bhooj ke sufi creepy ko apne peche laga diya tha and once she started liking shehroze, she was like i never liked you🤣. Unlike most pak drama villains like behaya, sufi creepy had a proper villain origin story.😆

The way they are showing asfar-aaliya scenes without much continuity and dept i have a fear they will compromise on Aaliya's characterisation for the love triangle and justify asfar's advances.

I thought the same when salman said to almas can go and ask for Aaliya's hands after he gets a home for themself. Salman want to give a financial secure life for his life partner. He is not rushing into marriage simply because he is in love with Aaliya. He only wants confirmation for now.

That rarely happens in pak dramas. Even while watching dunk i was like why are they marrying off Haider who is still in college and he is never shown to be even trying out to get a job. Was he leaving off with his friend's money after getting kicked out of the house? Who used to pay for his gym after being kicked out? Dole Shole toh sahi se bana hua tha uska end thak🤣

I also read somewhere that KA is inspired by PP. Aliya still has some qualities of Elizabeth but Asfar is definitely not Wickham. Though in initial episodes, Asfar was portrayed as a toxic character but as the story is progressing, they are showing some good characteristics of Asfar which according to me Wickham never had. Darcy was also too proud compared to Salman to confess his feelings this quick. When Salman first came to know Aliya had met Asfar, immediately the next day he asked for her commitment unlike Darcy who went into a shell knowing Liz met and befriended Wickham.

I dont think it's inspired by PP at all. I guess the only similar is aaga family. 3 daughters, a supportive father and a noisy mother. Except that there is nothing.

Yes that's very thoughtful of him and practical also. Most of his insecurities for Aliya come from his financial status. Even in his argument with his mother, he pointed out how Aliya switched job because the salary is higher there. Also that terrace conversation where Aliya said she can compromise to any level to secure her family. So of course Salman would want to give her a financially stable life.

I don't know about the drama you are talking about but almost all Indian serials which depicted college love stories had this problem. They become obsessed with marriage as if that is their life goals. 🙄

Yes true but I read somewhere that it's inspired by PP. The mother's character matches though. She was relieved to marry off Samiya to Saif even after knowing his flaws just like Liz's mother who was happy to know Lydia married Wickham

I guess his insecurities come from the fact of not getting a proper response from Aaliya. He is not exactly poor or lower middle class. Both the aagas and Salman looks like they are from well reputed families and upper middle class. Aagaji's family might have been a well known family back in the days seeing how big that house is. Salman's sister and uncle are settled abroad and Salman is in his mid to late 20s. So if he is confident on buying a house soon he might be financially doing well. He might not be rich like asfar but don't look like he is struggling financially in any way. He only has him and his mother to take care. He had a partnership business with rafi and now is working in a job right under shehrish.

Dunk is bilal's show from two years ago. It's about sexual harrasment allegation. The drama is good and his acting was also great in it. It gets a little draggy but overall a fine watch.
