Regarding Arnav's behavior to Lavanya..I took it as reactionary. He had just being hammered by Payal and shown the mirror.

So he did not want to deal with Lavanya's proposition "again".

In the prologue too he is polite and firm and tells her the same. .that he is not ready for a relationship with her or anyone.

His divorce has no meaning to her maybe because of the relationship they share (not talking about intimacy)..hey even she knows about the divorce 😊

And she proportioned him again in the party..what should he do? Be nice to a grown up woman who does not get it? When did sex and a steady relationship go hand in hand !

True we don't know how the relationship has developed in 6 years but I cannot erase from my head Lavanya's interlude.

Callous and I should get what I want by all means. Morality be damned.

yeah, as I mentioned previously, Lavanya is a little vain. It was pointed out earlier too in the discussion thread, she is a product of her circumstances and did not take a lot of her actions or thoughts seriously. Ade up her own mind about Arnav’s state of marriage and was about to tell him despite finding out he was happy with his wife. As much as the readers would hate it, I think Lavanya and Arnav are going to have a few interactions and couple of chapters :’)

Thanks to Anamika or some other life experiences, one thingis very clear, Arnav has no respect for women… He could have easily confronted Khushi that their relationship has cracks and maybe they should separate before he decided to have an affair with Lavanya… But he slept with Lavanya and trying to hide shows he never respected Khushi and he is least respectful towards Lavanya as well knowing she was ok to be with him while he was still married.

Khushi as usual is too good for her own good. This is hardest for her since she comes from the traditional background where marriages last 7 lives. Still the way she avoided the pregnancy in spite of Arnav being her universe speaks volume. She sure had an inkling about his affair. She accepted to Payal that she too now wants divorce maybe that's why. Once a third person is involved, it closes doors to reconciliation.

Khushi is thinking of going to family but her family being in small town, the social stigma and family members themselves not accepting her decision is going to be nightmare for her once she starts living there… Also getting to officially know about his cheating is another nightmare… Not sure Khushi had an opportunity to continue study, but she should pursue education, divert her energy and hopefully bump into someone who is richer that Arnav in both money and character and most importantly cherishes Khushi and teaches her to be in control and demand.... Khushi never realized after 10 years of marriage she too is a billionaire and 50% worth of his earnings.

What Arnav told Khushi is on dot. Just because their relationship did not work, she shouldn’t leave everything. He is not worth it… Arnav might be billionaire by now but poorest in character.

I am yet to feel sorry for Arnav. Yes, he did ask himself a question but too late… Was he sleeping all this time? Oh yes, with the other woman instead of saving the marriage with woman of substance he claimed to love so much and wanted to protect! He hurt her most!

Amazing, amazing writing as usual! Don’t you dare shorten the chapters, we love every word… Looking forward to the next chapter!

🤩🤩🤩 thank you so much for the vote of confidence on the chapter. Really appreciate it :). Your analysis about Khushi’s background is spot on. Not only is divorce a serious taboo, it’s her own upbringing and belief that marriages lasted a lifetime that will be the biggest troubles she will have to face. Arnav mused about it too, reminiscing that she believed the bond to be too sacred and Payal also has serious doubts whether Khushi will ever be able to move on. Had money mattered to Khushi, she would have accepted alimony that Arnav was so ready for. But she has chosen to just depart from the scene and now her friends and soon to be ex husband can only watch from afar. It’s really a joy to me that all of you feel so personally about this story. It makes me super happy 😃

Somehow Arnav never let Khushi in, into his thoughts, his ideas, basically his heart. What he was a decade ago, he is essentially the same person today. True, how long can a relationship just survive on his responsibility towards her.

She, I am guessing used to pour her emotions out to him, initially. And later she too withdrew due to his inability to share his mind?

So the relationship that at lease felt like bloomed by the exit of Bitebox from his life, withered away by the re-entry of Bitebox in his life.

I do get why Khushi does not want to keep in touch with Payal. Their friendship happened because of her marriage to Arnav. When the marriage did not survive, it is natural for her to cut all ties connected to him.

Life is not a Bollywood movie where couples are lovey-dovey even after divorces and split-ups. Real life is much different.

In a way good Khushi is going back to her childhood home. Restart her life again trying to wipe out the memories built over the last decade.

I am just glad that Lavanya was not present with Arnav when Buaji came to his house. I am guessing Busji did not come there by mistake and it was intentional. She probably wanted to gauge him after the separation. Did she see guilt in his eyes? Did she expect to see any leftover love in his eyes? Hopefully his guilt ridden, loveless eyes and behavior assured her that Khushi is best away from him.

Can I just say that I am just very glad that Khushi did not hear Arnav's last words and that she did not turn to look at him one last time. She went away keeping her head high and I am glad that their marriage ended that way.

Hopefully Khushi heals gradually. I am sure there must be something she would excel in. Maybe she never got to try it out earlier. Maybe now she can do it. I hope that Khushi rediscovers herself gradually. And I just want her to be happy.

Not sure what I want for Arnav. Sorry, but I am not able to convince myself that I care for him, as of now.

Beautiful writing Arpita. The similarities and contrasts between past and present was so amazingly brought out.

The biggest concern now is Khushi going back to live in a small town again. What will she do? What source of income will she have? I was hoping she will go pursue some dreams that she never had a chance to fulfill. She needs to do something productive with her life.

Thank you so so much! Especially for pointing out the little Bitebox detail you mentioned. It feels good to see when someone notices the subtle things and ironies like this. The point about Payal is correct as well. She can maintain a decent friendship from far away, but being in Mumbai would mean being in constant touch of ghost of her previous life. In my head, a girl as emotional as Khushi will not be able to cope with it. I did get a message from one of the very old readers and friend , about why Khushi is so sad and not already over it. I don’t think anybody will be. She is hurt and grieving. She is also missing Arnav even if from reader’s POV it rankles them. She is bound to. At the end, she is a human who is going through something traumatic. That’s why the only thing that stands true is healing gradually part. Nothing other than time can fix things. And sometimes, even that’s not enough. Will wait for story to unfold further before commenting. I know we all want to see Khushi happy.😃 once again, thanks for the beautiful words.

True. The struggles won’t end just as easily. She is going back to her very roots and once she can emerge from the grief, she will have to figure out the rest of her life.

The story has become very emotional for me somehow. every time i read the updated chapter, i need some time to process. I have read many stories which have lots of struggles for Arshi but somehow this story is emotinally bruising and i guess the credit goes to you arpita. what an awesome story

i guess though arnav and khushi had their hearts in right place at the start, their though processes, upbringings, age difference, education everything eventually caught up with them

I am not sure if their was any triggered which annihilated their marriage or it just the slow realization that they are not meant to be. and its very natuaral

the only problem like most of the readers is arnav EMA. i would like to understand what was arnav's thought process when he got involved with lavanya. was it only 1 night stand or a full fledged affair. how come no one realized it nor akaash, paayal or khushi? this will not make his sin any less a sin but will provide another dimension

Khushi's decision to actually hold off getting pregnant is applaude worthy as generally women become emotional to save their marriages and have kids. But she never informed Arnav that she has not stopped pills shows another level of break of all communications between them

Arnav always treated khushi at arm's length and khushi always treated him as her sun and been in his shadow due to her insecurities led to this i guess

Felt really bad for khushi that she is the one who is leaving everything behind with no fault of hers. Arnav is guilty but so far thats the only emotion that comes out from his side in terms of the state of marriage and divorce. I hate to think he never really loved khushi and treated her as his responsibility more than anything else

I am not sure where Arnav and khushi will be at the end of the story and cant really see the title of the story applying to any or both. I will wait for the story to unfold.

Can you kindly give trigger warnings before these updates? I will skip.

Just the thought of it makes me shiver. Reading them in detail is absolutely the last thing.

P.s- I am sorry if I am overwhelming you, I don't know why i am taking this story so personally.

Thank you so much for giving this much love to the story. When I started posting I didn’t even think it will get readers since forum is not what it was once but the comments and discussions you guys have had in the thread after each chapter is a big deal to me. I understand that the story typically is set in a grim environment, and I can’t promise that it’s going to change anytime soon. The story, much like it’s characters, is flawed. I like to read POVs like these after each chapters, seeing how everyone observes the details differently. We will of course have a conclusion where everything is revealed in due time, meanwhile I’ll gather all my motivation to continue writing from all of you :)
