His Birthday is May 16th so I thought I would make an early Birthday thread.
Sorry Vicky your fan is not really an artist. I thought I would make this more about how I became a fan. So as a Sikh, I grew up studying Sikh history and was greatly inspired by bravery and courage. Then I heard a Bollywood film was coming out on a certain inspiring Sikh. Well, I was going through a love-hate journey with Bollywood back then. But a certain performance and a certain film changed everything. Sardar Udham was Oscar-worthy in my mind. I still consider it one of the most underrated films. Also a very underrated performance.

Sardar Udham proved Bollywood still has talent. It still has the ability to create exceptional masterpieces. Then I reflected back on the other performances I had liked but forgot to appreciate the actor that created the magic.
Who could forget the magical chemistry between Sehmat and Iqbal in Raazi? I watched it with friends all cry what a nice guy! How could she do that to him? I wish I had a husband like that. Yes, it was a great character written by a woman, Meghna Gulzar. But it was Vicky who brought the character to life.

Then who can forget Sanju? Yes, Ranbir was great in terms of embodying the body language and mannerisms of Sanjay Dutt. But despite all the pain, the character went through. The scene where I got emotional was this one.

Then of course I watched much of the great work Vicky has done. Be it Masaan that went to the Cannes film festival and back. No one can believe it was an actor making a debut. He lived Deepak Chaudhary.

Then coming to URI: The Surgical Strike. WHERE IS THE JOSH? Vicky was the soul of that movie. Everyone agreed. It got him his first national award for best actor.
Raman Raghav 2.0.
Who would have guessed that the same man who played such a sweet and caring husband in Raazi, could play a man who could be so abusive towards women?

I can go on and on about all his brilliant work. But what cute chemistry did he have with Angira Dhar in Love Per Square Foot.

Lust stories: from a charming husband to an abuser, to a completely clueless husband. This man can be it all.

Please share your wishes and your favorite performances as well. Back to my journey. Watching Vicky in films is amazing. But what is also great is watching him in interviews. His intellectual level is much higher then most people in Bollywood. But he is also very well brought up. He has this innate respect for women. He is extremely down-to-earth and humble. He is one of the few actors who is not a snooze fest offscreen. I am not sure if charismatic is the right word. But he def does not put me to sleep.
Ok enough of my Vicky worshipping. Don't mean to bore you all!
P.S. He also shares my love for Punjabi music.
