Just curious. Did you study before getting in or you just started trading on demo?
I did study a little bit but like u mentioned in your post, trading requires a lot of emotional control too. U need to know when to let go and suffer some loss rather than persisting in a losing trade and suffering more loss. I did use stop loss, but almost always the trade would touch the stoploss point and then recover. 🤷🏼♂️
Anyways the thing is - I should have practiced trading without actually putting in money so that i could have gained some more emotional control.
The data about women being more successful in this, as u wrote in ur op, does make sense. This time i will start with some trading simulation without putting in actual money, to gain some experience...i.e Whenever I do decide to start trading again. 😬😆
I learnt trading from Havenspire.. plus zerodha has varsity app which is quite good for beginners to learn the basics https://www.havenspire.in/ (for anyone interested)
Me reading this thread and not understanding anything I read
Thank you!
Glad I'm not the only one. I knew you wouldn't disappoint me.

Oh thank the good lord I am not the only one. Girl…my brain when it comes to fiscal matters is literally zero. That’s it. I’m rethinking my stance on marriage. I think I will marry an accountant. When I’m 64.
lmao reminds me of myself before I got into all of this. Btw, you can ask me if there’s anything 😆

Accountant testing your fiscal matters and money handling skills😆
Stop loss scares me too. I actually did few trades without knowing anything about trading last year as I had just discovered Long and Short. I was very curious, excited and tried those without knowing anything about trading. Sometimes I would get lots of profit and then I would get greedy for more profits and keep holding the trades for more and then it would stop me out. Or, I would get loss but keep holding hoping for recovering while the loss would keep increasing. I was basically gambling and trying trades without know what and how to do trading, and many times I wouldn’t even put a SL. After I lost some money, I was like I need to be serious and can’t do this anymore. I then asked someone I knew who was a trader and did it for a living. She then set me up and gave me the file for ICT core content as it was still a private mentorship at the time. I started watching and studying since then. Because of that loss experience I then got a fear of loss a bit. But it’s getting lessened ever since I saw how I was stopped out very few times compared to the win trades I had on demo. I was rarely stopped out. So going over that, I now put the SL and much better thankfully. The studying and practicing for months and then doing demo for months have helped me. You should study and take notes first and keep testing to practice the concepts on tradingview. Then do demo for few months until you are profitable but treat your demo account like a real trading account and take trades. These all will help and only then try live trading. Also, I forgot tradingview does have an app for Apple and Android too.Originally posted by: NatkhatPyare
