exactly. people can be foolish, it has nothing to do with their education. by watching this movie at least some people (of all religions) can save themselves from blindly falling into this “organised and systematic trust, friendship, love, conversion and terrorism trap”.

and that girl in the video may not look like a victim, that doesn’t mean she’s not a victim. maybe she’s putting on a brave face.

ISIS is indeed one of the best organised terror organisations, especially as they want to get their "state" a recognised one. Internet is the most used influencing tool and also the main tool for ISIS to attract interest and indoctrinate people's mind. Personal contacts are still the less used tool. It is also very important to inform people about the structure of ISIS and their proceeding to attract people and for what they'll make use of those who join them.

I think, it isn't enough to only diabolise ISIS which could have - in the contrary - an unwanted effect as young people are especially attracted by something adults condemn. Information through various media would be better.

I guess, this movie doesn't want to inform, it wants to instill fear...and this fear is used in the election ralleys.

What I get as a feeling through the reviews is the lack of making a distinction between the religion of Islam and the criminal organisation ISIS which uses the Islam as an excuse/reasoning tor their crimes against humanity.

It reminds me of the Mafia, another criminal organisation where almost all members are strict Catholics (or had been - times changes).

Basically, each and every extremist uses something as a reasoning...and mostly it's religion.

It's the easiest to use...

Exol, thinking of 2018, I would prefer to make more movies where the 'holding together' of people is shown...like it was done in Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani...and the effect, this holding together as humans/Indians can have in a positive direction.

I think, India - at any times - had also examples for that.

And why not make a movie against ISIS that shows how the families of the girls come together and try to get to know about the friends of their daughter (I guess, all the four have a family, right?) and they talk together about what they want and don't want...

u put it so aptly. The purpose of the movie and the leaders was to instill fear and hatred and if you see the reactions of the people coming out of the hall ..this goal has been somewhat achieved.

exacly why a movie like 2018 is not made tax free..

Infact Kerala police rescued 350 youth from getting radicalized who would have otherwise joined these terrorist units. Their families were contacted, they were giving counselling and it helped these youths from ruining their lives. Among these 350 youth there was not a single gal..let alone a hindu gal. They did this with help of NIA. Our country is doing a lot to help these youths to not get brainwashed but that is never highlighted ? why ? why is PM not talking about this to our country but is interested in fear mongering ? Is it because religion and communalism is the easiest tool to manipulate people and invoke strong emotions ?

There is a reason India has least ISIS recruits among the world.. our country and its officers are trying their best to keep its people safe...I love India for fighting terrorism so boldly and fiercely.

You know who said/wrote this about the power of images/films for propaganda purposes?

"In a much shorter time, at one stroke I might say, people will understand a pictorial presentation of something which it would take them a long and laborious effort of reading to understand."

Fortunately, India is much more diversified and much bigger than Germany...and not that organized.

Yeah, why not??? that would be more appropriate for a PM 'elected by the people for the people'...

I read about it in the ORF paper I had posted.... and Kerala also has banned an extremist organisation. I think, Kerala is the Indian region/state with the oldest cohabitation of Muslim and non-Muslim stemming from the trading relations with Arabian merchants.
