Maybe coz they have to shoot for the whole week. Earlier , it was mon-fri, so they could bank episodes. Plus, shooting involves errors, human, technical or otherwise, so that delays stuff too.

If the other characters fall sick, they can give excuses for them (like Ashwini leaving for her sis' place, Mohit going to the factory)

But if SaiYa and Virat are unavailable, toh bahut lafda hoga.

Can someone explain to me please, what banks mean? And how it is related to episodes getting late? Sorry, I'm not familiar with all these terms.

Banks as in extra episodes.

Ie, aaj jo shoot hua woh 2-3 pehle shoot kiya, that's how we get precaps. If you saw for a last few days, they are using old scenes, coz they haven't shot the episodes.

The SaiYa temple scene was shot and used in the next day epi, generally, it would have been shot 2-3 days earlier.

Am i making sense?

It might be intentional. Or may be because of the recent fire. They might be still recovering from it and rebuilding things. That can be a reason too.
